Are the LED tails sold by Newministuff DOT approved? It says no where on their site if they are and I know its hard to get them legal due to a lack of lumenessence from the bulbs, even though they are brighter. Also, does anyone have experience with these lights? Perferably, the black housing lights.

 

do you have a link to these? I've never seen them. I know one factor for receiving a DOT stamp is that there must be a red reflector included in the design of each lamp.

 

Well...the bogus ebay ones have a DOT stamp in them You do need a reflector but who does that? I just put colored LED's in...Havent been pulled over (because of the lights) and have had a few compliments by the coppers that pulled me over....

 

Can be found here . To bad they don't offer 02 style tail lights. I'd be all over that.

i have the black ones on my 06 and i love them i can post some pictures later cause I'm posting from my iPhone but as far as legal is concerned my state law requires red rear reflectors which they dont have so you have to add those to make it legal.

 

I dont think a cop is gonna pull over a mini for LED tail lights....just a thought...a lot of things are DOT aproved or street legal...
