could these be used as like a "preformed" spacer, not used as a spacer but as in the piece that we would be fabricating to widen the fender...it could make the curves and angles much easier than trying to bend the plastic all by ones' self...

I haven't gotten my hands on them but I'm pretty sure you could just use these to completely replace our arches as long as you could devise a mounting system. No need to make it too complicated and try splicing these with the OEM arches.

They have never said it, but I'm convinced that that's what this company did while developing arches for the MKV gti/rabbit. They look identical to the all road arch shape. They just did a little reshaping and found a way to attach them.

c2 motorsports

I'm pretty sure that car is also a 2.5L 5 cylinder with their turbo kit installed.

OK, I saw a similar pic at Fifteen52...

So I checked at c2, but I didn't see it...

Do you know what size rim/tire they are running?

Yah they worked with 1552. I don't think either company lists them on their site.

I'm not sure on wheel size....the answer is definitely in their build thread (along with pics fitting the arches).

That car was in eurotuner a while back along with the C2 Motorsports car with their turbo set up.

So who is going to get these arches first?

Any idea what the RealOEM equivalent is for Audi's? Is it the same one as the VW parts catalog cause I always get lost in that one

I would totally be willing to test out these arches...let me know if you can find that equivalent to the RealOEM

Found the tire and wheel size:

18x10 BBS RE with 265/35-18 tires.

Oh...and there is no way that they used metal arches like the thread said...they have got to be the Audi Allroad fenders...

Well it looks like I could get a set of Audi fenders in the range of $378.25 before shipping costs...I am gonna make a call to a dealership and find out their cost...Anyone have any hook-ups with Audi...

Wow that's expensive. I was thinking they'd be around $40-50 a piece like the MINI

Yeah that is what I was hoping for...

Hmmm...I am trying a few contacts that I have and I will report back tomorrow after I talk with them...

If not...well I guess I will do it the way we planned to before this Audi fender was introduced...

Rally- can you double check the link that I pm'd you and verify that these arches are 72.7 Euros each? If so, I may just pass, as excited as I was to be able to use these...my light bulb in my head already figured out how to mount them and everything!!!!!

My brother has that Audi Allroad. He stopped by this morning (to help pull my tractor out of the snow) and I thought of you guys and this thread. Just by looking at them I just think they are way to bid in 'arch' I could try and measure.

That would be great to know if they are the correct "diameter" for us to use...Please report your findings Greg!

I don't think there's any chance they're the right diameter. Audi arches accept 19 and sometimes even 20 inch rims whereas ours struggle to fit 18's.

You're going to have to section them a bit like the picture of the metal fenders I posted to get the diameter right. It would just be nice to have prefabbed arches to work from so you have the overall shape correct.

Hmmm...now the question is if the Audi fenders are not the correct size, is it easier to work from them or the Mini's fenders?

Why can't there just be an "Eureka" solution to this project...

Id lean towards Audi fenders if it weren't for the price.

I think you'll find that completely shaping and creating arches from the current arches is going to be a lot of work compared to simply making a few cuts on the Audi fenders. It's really not hard to close the diameter of an arch.

Simple solutions and bolt-ons aren't impressive. Mods that require custom work are far better anyways

I know...I just was not sure as to which would end up looking better...but I know that your knowledge is a good guidance

We both know, when we get into these mods you can't go bolt on Plus, I would rather create my own parts and take the pride in that instead of relying on someone else to take my money

Yes, creating your own parts is rewarding. Here are some pics of when I created mine. I started with cardboard templets and altered them until I ened up wit what would work best.

Ran across these fender flares today. The price seems very reasonable, if I'm reading the ad right. Looks like a price of $299.

Those look really nice. Maybe there is process to make them look OEM plastic.

Those were carried for a while but were discontinued because the people that bought them found that one side was a full inch wider than the other side. I'm not sure if that's the case for the ones turner is selling in that ad, but that's why the ones pictured are no longer for sale.
