Curious if the idiot lights are as invisible as on the black face when they are not lit.

I've seen pic where the LEDs were changed to blue, but that's not what I was looking for. Just looking for the blue replacement faces, but no luck. Emailed Outmotoring, hopefully they have better pics than they have on the web site.

The Outmotoring are the ones I'm interested in because of the way the idiot lights are hidden when not illluminated, but thanks anyway.

Hey. Just saw this thread. I have the outmotoring gauge faces in blue.

Those lights pretty much are invisible when they are not on but i think you can see them lit up in a pic in my gallery.

Hit me up if you have any more questions.

Do you mean like these?
They were on my previous MINI Cabrio, not on my Clubbie - wish outmotoring made them for R55/56

Perfect, thanks! Any chance you could get a quality picture at night with the lights on? Challenging task I know but...

Sorry

I no longer own that car, so no night pix .
At night everything was perfectly visible, but during the day it was very difficult to see the various lights (seatbelt, turnsignal, cruise control etc...) and they were the standard colors, as seen thru an opaque plastic.

Odd, never heard that complaint before. Wonder if it was because it was a Cabrio and direct sunlight...mine's a tintop.

See thulewx's comments regarding the warning lights being hard to see in the day time.

What's your take on this?

Thats pretty dead on. My car has nav and my gauges are above the column but i would imagine the visibility is relatively similar. The yellow traction light is the hardest to see. Red ones and turn signals are fine IMO

Well, that stinks. Been looking at those for well over a year and never heard a bad thing about them. Now that I'm ready to pull the trigger...rats. I love the look of those gauges with the extra tick marks and no km.

Hmmm...more cogitating.
