"Howard" gets a new antenna mast! RE: ADAMSALTAMINI

Hey folks,

I know this is a no brainer, but at the same time I wanted to show the different options available to the R56 owner and what I chose. No matter whom you purchase your new mast from (I am showing ALTA options here, but there are a lot of options, and choices available for even the most discriminating MINI owner. If you don’t like ours, certainly try some of the other supporting vendors here on NAM. You are sure to find something you like!)

Stock, ALTA4", ALTA 2" (The winner!) See photos below!

It is always a personal preference, but I HATE the stock mast. It just looks stupid. It destroys some of the sleekness of the car. The ALTA 2” perfectly matches the taper from the OEM base. I notice no change in reception and kiss the radio controlled car look good by!

Thanks guys and gals!

Very nice. I went with the 4 and like it quite a bit, too.

I like the 4" as well. It's a mod for a later day.

Can we get a pic of the 2" from a distance? Like a whole car shot?

Thanks!

You will love it. The fatter base on our R56 specific antennas really match well to the OEM mast base at the roof. If you need a photo let me know!

Thanks again!

4 inch

I went with the Alta 4 inch. Radio reception is great, looks good. I put the whip into the boot for a later day or if I need to try for mountain reception.

Check my gallery for some pictures of scooter with the whip versus the Alta 4.

Does anybody know of a rubber or plastic stubby on the market? It's always kind of bothered me that all of the aftermarket antennas are metal, because i just don't think it matches up well. I know it'll probably have a much longer life in a billet form, but hey, we're all allowed to be weird about some things!

Yeah, but I don't think the S2000 antenna fits on an R56.

TRUE! They don't fit the R56. I am not aware of anything in the plastic type for your vehicle. Is there a problem with the metal?

I freakin' LOVE my 2"!!! Antenna that is. LOL! I put it on my MINI before I even pulled off the lot when I took delivery on Monday. It looks killer. Soooo much better than the "RC car" look.
