kookmyers: which body do you have a convertible, or a hardtop? I will send you the link to proper antenna. Hate to have you get the wrong one.

Thanks for asking!

Adam,
Thats OK....i like the 1.3" antenna that the other guys are offering that Mav pointed out. I cover the car daily and want THE shortest antenna possible. Heck, i was even looking for a screw to put flush in there to seal it for the winter!
thanks

lol.
i wrote the vendor and they replied that they have not tried it on an 07 so they cannot assure me that it will fit. I am leaning towards NO.

Too funny! Not trying to pee in your pool, but the base and the stud are different on the R56, so unlikely it would fit. Sorry bout that!

Does radio reception change with the 4" or 2"?

All you people getting short antennas... I'm trying to out how to use one of those 10 foot cb antennas! embrace the RC look! (plus get wicked reception)

hmm.. maybe I could just use a giant straw that's like 2' tall and have a long wire trail out of it.. hmm..

i notice no reception change when going from the stock antenna to the 4" antenna. i listen to my Ipod all the time and never to the radio so the reception doen't matter to me.

In most urban areas reception is really unchanged. The base is amplified from the factory, thus the mast isn't working as hard. I have not noticed any real difference with my 2" vs 4" vs stock in my years of using them. My two cents. Plu sit just looks sweet!
