Interior/Exterior Can we start an official SHOW ME YOUR STRIPES thread?
Actually there are prongs. but once you go around it with the fishing wire.. it will pop right out when you pull on it.. The prongs aren't really clipped in , just need a good tug to get the emblem off.

Stripes on my 2007 MCS
I had a local shop make a replica of the factory bonnet stripes for the side. I loved the look of the black wheels but thought that the look was too dark on my blue car. I think the stripes help.
Just a heads up on stripes - we bought some "unique" stripes we wanted from Mighty Stripes. I had difficulty with their website and had to pay a supplemental fee to correct the order. It still came screwed up, so I had to take off work and pay to send it back. Then they ran out of material and had to delay a month. Then they sent us the wrong stripes again. We thought about having the ones sent put on and asked our detailer what he thought. The stripes were silver (to match all the aftermarket chrome we put on the car), and the detailer said not to use them because they would scratch real bad and even if we could get them off (despite what the website claims) the paint underneath would be demaged.
The intent is not to bash Mighty Stripes. The point here is that before embarking on a quest for "unique" be sure (1) you know exactly what you want and (2) read comments from folks like me about any vendor so you know what type of experience you should expect.

On a side note, were your stripes "chrome" or are they silver? It makes a difference as far as how they'll wear long-term.
