Getting rdy to switch out my stock thermostat with a 180 degree M7, dont know if anyone has already posted a DIY for this one and I dont have a Bentleys service manual. Got a pretty good idea of what to do but I always like to see a walkthru first.
I have a 2010 MINI and have just gotten a checkered rear view mirror cover. I've been looking for instructions on how to put it on, but can't find any. Anyone out there know how or can give me a link to a post that explains it?
Does any one know how to remove the headliner on an R53 without breaking it? I want to cover it in fiberglass and paint to match the car, but cant get the thing out! Any help and pics would be great
How to remove your stereo
(I know its a simple DIY, but it helps add a variety to the how-to section and itll only take 15 minutes for someone to make one)
This probably would need to be split in "How to remove a head-unit" and "How to remove front speakers" and "How to remove back speakers". Furthermore , the headunit is built-in differently in a 1st Generation new mini (R50,R52,R53,R54) than a 2nd Generation (R56-55-57) and a single topic would not be specific enough.

This is covered in https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...the-clips.html for the external mirrors (a replacement of existing part).
The internal mirror cover is simply by using double-sided sticky tape on the inside of the cover, then making sure it is aligned 100% properly, then holding it for two minutes while applying pressure. Unfortunately I could not find a specific topic about this.

Dealer fix is more grief than doing it myself. I've got a Haynes, a new stat and a new housing coming, I'll try to put something together.
Really simple, it is only two bolts and jacking the front of the car off the ground to get at the lil-bugger, Oh make sure to use jackstands and support the motor with your jack/ a pice of 2X6 will keep you from damaging your oil pan
How to replace a ripped inner CV shaft boot. All the threads I've found say they consulted a Haynes manual but Haynes' website says they don't make a MINI manual!
I would like to see a/c clutch electrical testing, best way to access the wires.test (find) low pressure switch. R & R a/c compressor. Working on mine now. I hope it is just low on suds.
stone.
just follow the instructions that come with the pulley and you will be fine. I did it in 4 hours a year ago today when i was still 17. (ok i turned 18 4 days later... but i was 17 when i did it..., regardless.. its not hard. just make sure you have a torque wrench with allen sockets)
