It comes in a 9 foot or 16 foot roll. It's easy to do. I got a few small self tapping screws and washers to help hold it in. Dont want the San Diego heat to make the tape come off.

Did mine this afternoon - $14 in parts and it took 15 minutes to install with 2-sided tape and 10 1/2 inch screws and 1" fender washers.

I think this stuff will start to curl/warp after a whilel, but at only $7 a roll, it's easy enough to replace... Hit it with a little Detailers Paradise Nero plastic and vinyl dressing and it looks exactly like the plastic bumper trim!

Hey guys, EDM is a bud of my mine that lives like 15 min away from me! He has a lot of great ideas like the front lip and red tailights. I went ahead and did the front lip and tails and got brave and created a rear lip for my Cooper. Overall I think everything together transformed my car!

Here have a LOOKSEEEI!!!

The back looks great too. I wonder if it will help the boot stay a bit cleaner.

Are you coming to any Auto X at Langley or ACU this year?

That back looks good. The red tail lights really tie everything together.

I think its interesting to see how everyone does their own thing with the ends of the lip. some chop it straight off, others make it curve, and every thing in between. Here's mine, just did it today.

I am SO jealous of you who can run this mod! My car is so slammed that I would lose it within one day--and that's just leaving my driveway! I scrape the OEM damper about 3 times a day on my commute. Darn it...
I love the look--well done

That looks pretty rad on the 05 MC bumper. I still can't decide if I want this or a stiff splitter.

Go to the Home Depot and spend the $15, stick it on with the 3M tape, hold off on drilling holes and see if you like it. If you like, finish it off with screws with washers, if not, peel it off, your out 10 bucks and return the screws.

I also, was interested in a stiff splitter, but I'm not sure how much actual down force it gains. During the MC Squared mag. article on the top ten Minis, none of those cars had splitters. They look cool, but I spent my Mini funds on other parts.

Either way, go for it! Your Mini is worth it.

None, unless you use one that bolts properly to the frame - anything screwed into the bottom of the plastic front fender isn't going to add any down-force since let's face it - the front bumper isn't designed to work that way. I've seen true splitters that bolt to the front frame, but they're pricy. If you track the car though (REALLY track, not Auto-X) it would be a good investment, but other than that... nah.

The nice thing about this MOD is... it's disposable. I have no idea how well (or not) it will weather, and I KNOW that it will insta-shred the microsecond it touches the street, but for $7 for a 9' roll, who cares? Even if the material starts to warp in amonth, or if I end up getting a CF splitter down the road, or malke one out of marine ABS or what have you, I'll still likely keep this on, and if it's too much, I can toss it without a single regret.

It could also serve as a nice transition from a properly mounted splitter to the bumper…
