Houston MINI repair shops

Hello

I moved to Houston recently and am in need of a trustworthy repain shop located west of Houston. I dont really like the dealership options. They seem over priced.

What are people doing out there for repairs

Mscooper1, welcome to Houston and to our club forum on NAM. In answer to your question, lots of Houston people have used Bavarian Hyper Sports (BHS), located off FM 1960 just west of the Willowbrook Mall. And there are a few more places that I don't have in front of me. I don't know that any of them are significantly less expensive than the dealers. As suggested, check the HMMS forum on metroplexmini.org as I know this question came up last fall. There also is a list of sponsoring organizations that may give you some ideas. My MINI is still under warranty so I can't help very much, but have used BHS for non OEM work.

I'm in need of some quick info on repair shops, too. I think my power steering pump is on its last leg. Keeps running even when the key is off. Had to disconnect the battery to stop it.

Anyway, Joel closed BHS awhile back. I was sad to hear it, as he did good work at reasonable prices. Plus he loved cars, it showed.

The HMMS forums over on Metroplex MINI are down for maintenance until Sunday.

I'm looking for a reputable shop in the Southwest area (Sugar Land). Anyone know of one?

Jeff
