Helix/13 Eric ready to come to HI again

Aloha folks, I just spoke with Eric at Helix 13 who is ready to come out to Hawaii again, now that its cold in Phila. He was here last year and installed pulleys, short shift, exhausts, etc on about a dozen of our cars.

We'll need at least 10 MINI owners interesting having him install pulleys or other goodies. He informed me that the Giac chip and injectors are ready for those with 19 pulleys. They are also working on the upgrade of the belt tensioner and pulley and have many other performance items to install.

Those interested respond to this and we can start gather info or perhaps have the HMMC sponsor this with eric.

I'm in!

I'd be interested in the 15% chip. Or maybe I should have 19% installed with the 19% chip and injectors? Hmmmmmmmm............

If Eric needs the jack, jackstands, air compressor and air tools again, he's more than welcome to use them.

yup, HMMC is interested in sponsoring this. I've been meaning to respond to Eric's email I received last week regarding this. I'll send an email to the HMMC members to see if we can get some interest that way, too.

good luck all you lucky MCS owners. I had to turndown my Cabrio MCS order the other day....I quit my job to go back to non-profit and took a $10k paycut!!!!! At least I can sleep at night, now!

Helix Day!

Howsit,
I've got a rear sway bar, and/or a 15% pulley waiting to go on!

Bummer about the Cabrio, but having a life is better.
I have a life as a side job.

I heard last time Eric came out to Hawaii ( to a supposedly "pulley party" ),there was a lone MINI Cooper sitting at the sidelines while all these other Cooper S were getting nice mods

Ya think he can do a supercharger install on my Coop?
Better yet, how 'bout a turbo?!

I'd be interested in the HELIX 13 sport exhaust like erik808 has on his CVT.
It sounds really sweet half way around the track...err....I mean street

OKay folks,

Lets get some hard dates rolling when Eric Savage is available and some seriously interested people lined up as well as secure a (garage) site and make it happen.

For those who did pulleys last time there is the GIAC ECU upgrade for more torque. Or you can upgrade your 15% pulley to 19% AND add the larger fuel injectors and GIAC for 19%.

Exhausts are possible but you'll need to order them early so they can arrive in time- the Helix for the MC is great.

Other stuff can be installed but we will need to schedule the time to do so.
About 10 people for various upgrades would be the bare minimum to make the trip worthwhile. GIAC software installs take less time so those are the easiest.

Also for those who did pulleys last time, a belt replacement at one year would be prudent to prevent problems and the new tensioner also worth a look.

Other mods possible:
Larger throttlebody and installation for MCS
Helix short shift kit for older and new MINIs
RDR intake and installation for MCS

Count me in

My garage is available. I've 2 jacks, stands, ramps & some tools. Bryan offered his compressor, air tools & jack stands as before.

I'm seriously intersted in injectors and Giac for 19 (understand this is available).

Also interested in the upgraded Helix/RDR tensioner & pulley (if available).

Aloha folks!-

Don't need a pulley or chip but I'm sure I could find something else on the site to order !

I'm thinking ignition cables and an upperstrut brace.

I'll peruse, check the 'ol wallet and get back!

Aloha!

Aloha from Philadelphia:

This morning there was a dusting of snow, 25mph winds and 9 degrees F. Only the office of the shop is heated until tomorrow, if the gas company elects to grace me with their presence. Needless to say, I would love to come to HI. I had such a great time last year. Your hospitality was just amazing.

I did something like 13 pulleys, plus other stuff, which pretty much defrayed the cost of the trip. Finding 13 more people for this year might be a strech, but I would be willing to do it again this year with fewer pulleys, just for a chance to get back there. I do need a critical mass of work, though. Probably the best time would be sometime during the last two weeks in February.

If I had a garage again to do the work, and if Bryan will lend me some air tools, I can do a whole host of mods, Including:

-15, 17, 19% pulleys (or change the size you have)
-GIAC software
-Helix/RDR intakes (or other brands)
-Helix/RDR rear sway bars (or other brands)
-Rear control arms (stock alignment)
-Helix short shift kits
-Helix/RDR wheel stud kits
-Plug wires
-Brake pads and rotors
-Borla or other exhaust installation.

Please don't hesitate to call me if you have specific questions, and I will be communicating with Brad via email.

Eric - The air tools and compressor are always available. Unfortunately the compressor isn't larger, but that would hinder it's portability.

the club VP and I both have air tools and jacks. and if we plan it right, we can do it at the VP's house which would make it super easy. minihune's got all of the details, so we're good on that.

Now just gotta find the people! i'm broke...so stop looking at me!!!

I'm in so far!

I have a 15% ET pulley & a sway bar and end links waiting to go on.
Last weeks in Feb. are open so far.
I have been toying w/ getting a warehouse near the airport whitch can fit 3 or 4 minis and has compressors.
Liability is a big issue for most people I ask.
It's not like were having a rave party!
If this sounds good I can get more info.

By the way whats the charge for a pulley and sway job?

Happy New year in 05!
Joel
