[Hawaii] MINI display at annual LCC Craft Fair (2005 update)

Hey all!
I was just reminded that the Craft Fair at LCC on Saturday has alloted 3 spots for MINIs in their car display section. If you folks are interested in showing off your MINI, post here or send me an email, PM, whatever.

From my memory, I believe you need to be there from 8a-2p. I'll confirm the information when I get home tonight.

I'll be stopping by, but won't be displaying my MINI (not enough time to prep and no one wants to see a stock mc... )

Thanks John for setting this up....I see the position of HMMC Event Chair in your future!

Let's do it!

"Let's do it" That's an order!

OK, I have to be at camp on the other side of the island at Kuuloa (ain't that nearby). If I get rained out I might head over there a bit late and try to be at LCC by 830am (latest is 845am near the admin building). I can't stay the whole day unless it's really pouring at camp

It'll be good to see any nice MINIs stock or modded out there.
Hey, stock is nice too.
Don't let people think that the MINI comes only in Indi blue!

ok, I double checked, and the MINIs will need to be there at 8:45a and the fair ends at 2p.

We already got one Indi Blue/White JCW going...maybe Brad...we need one, possibly 2 more.

Aloha folks!-

Big MAHALO to Keiki and Minihune for giving me an ear on this event. Here are the specs.

Leeward Community College Family Fun and Craft Fair
Saturday, October 30, 2004
9AM to 2PM

My contact has been Ricard Yap, real nice guy. Every year that they do this event they sponsor a mini car show. In the past they have had Lambos', Panteras', Hondas', etc. I was able to talk him into giving MINIs space for two to three Coops. It's time for the MINIs to shine in Waipahu!

I'll be showing my '04 MCS Works and would love the company of one or two more MINIs.

Minihune is a deffinate maybe and as he got back to me first I'd like to hold him a spot as long as possible. If I can get a deffinate second car and perhaps a stand-by in case Minihune can't make it that would be great!

Vehicles have to be at LCC fronting the Admin Office stairs no later than 8:45 AM on Saturday for positioning.

Mary at MoH was nice enough to give me some MINI catalogues to pass out.

If you are interested please feel free to e-mail me at jcummings@honolulu.gov first come first served. Should be a fun day! Oh, and mahalo to Keiki for shooting this out and for supplying me with our HMMC fllier for Saturday!

Aloha!

OK, everyone is welcome to stop by and visit JCW04 and I at the LCC craft fair tomorrow. Maybe you'll find some nice christmas gifts at the fair or you can come and visit with us.

We are hoping for some decent and mostly dry weather.
Bring your MINI if you can and look for us in the "mini" auto show.

Only two MINIs but I think we stirred up the most interest and traffic of all the cars there- The red Lamborghini was nice, and so was the super LOUD totally pimped Black corvette next to us.

I think what helped us was:
It didn't storm even though the grey clouds did threaten
We had a small canopy covering to keep cool (thanks John)
Our spot was next to the stairs where there was lots of foot traffic
We had friendly faces
And most important- we had M&Ms
Yum Yum- thanks John again.

Lots of people came by to ask questions. We got Justin the advertiser photographer to take our pictures for sunday's paper. He was really interested in the MINIs and came by to ask lots of questions twice, or was it three times?

His 99 Audi A4 turbo needs a replacement (even though he just ordered a new intercooler). He sounds like he drives all over the place more than kbseto does- if that possible? Well, yeah- cause he has to take pictures of various events all in the same day.
We pointed him in the direction of Mary and Randy. Hope he has time for a test drive.

We are presently making contact with the organizers from last year.

How many MINIs are interested? Roughly 9am to 2pm. Last year they brought us lunch!

Lots of nice cars there.

Don't park too near to the rear of the super powerful black Corvette. :impatient

Here's the info:
OCT 29 Saturday
LCC Family Fun & Craft Fair,
Leeward Community College, 96-045 Ala Ike, Pearl City,
9 am - 2 pm
Craft fair, excitement in education, food, entertainment, games.

I work that day so I'm off at noon.
