no stock class for erik808 b/c he still has springs, rear swaybar, and aftermarket exhaust. but maybe there are some race tires in his future if he's been a good boy for santa!

eric,

what's gonna happen with your recently picked up wheels? did you not just 2 months ago pick up some new rims?

i was toying with the idea of getting the 15" 7-holeys also, but in white. all for the old school mini look, small wheels. plus they're cheaper, rims and tires. but i already got my 16" asa lw5 in white ready to swap on.

you are really getting into this racing/autoxing stuff! i just can't give up my precious surfing time though, as i find myself with less and less surf opportunities during the week. i really do appreciate each and every surf session now.

good luck!

Sup, kbseto! Keep on getting wet . Oh yeah, if I get a set of R81s, I'd dress 'em up with Kuomos & swap out with my ASA/Yokohamas the nights prior to Solo II... Take it easy, Kyle

hey erik. this is baro.

remember when you were thinking of buying the springs what i asked you? i asked if you planned to auto-X your car and stuff like that and you said no at that time.

anyways, a mini should be able to take out first in FSP. you need tires and all that you can do to make it more powerful.....intake, headers etc. while staying within the limits of FSP.

tires will help you turn easier, faster and make the car feel nimble. if you did go crazy, you could get 15" light rims with an offset that gives you the widest stance or ablility to stick at least a 205 tire inside. the shorter the better for gearing. just gotta watch the weight load. b

Now, the autocross bug's flowing freely within my veins. Life's such a trip, yeah?! About winning FSP, leave Kohu'ulaMINI to finish what I started when he begins modding -- he's got the skills . See you in a week & a half, b!

Seems like you have the symptoms that I once had....bought my MINI just for fun Motoring, as soon it set tires on a track...the autocross bug took over.

Hope to see ya at/on the track on the 21st

Yo, Kohu'ulaMINI!! Ha ha ha Yes, never thought I'd be on the track either ... Got the MINI for its uniqueness -- plain & simple. Get this: just washed it in our MINIlani rain/drizzle (complete w/ rain jacket & bucket hat). Am I nuts or what

UPDATE:

As of December's Solo II (today), erik808 (that's me) has officially suspended his (me again) pursuit of Solo II racing wheels. Why (I'm sure that you're now wondering)? Well, I'll tell you why... It's because of an occurrence that took place today.

Occurrence:

I got my modded **** (w/ excellent street Yokohamas, I may add) THUMPED today by Kohu'ulaMINI's (Randy, Motoring Advisor @ MINI of Hawaii) stock Cooper w/... run-flats
