Tweety with the LY/W MCS has invited MINI owners to participate in the Mililani Christmas parade.

So far the information is:
Mililani Christmas Parade Sat. Dec. 6 at 9:00 am
Starts at Mililani Town Center and ends at Mililani Shopping Center (approx. 2 miles)

Let's meet between 7:30 am-8:00 am in front of the Radio Shack (Town Center) with the Corvette Club.

It's a Christmas theme so decorate your MINIs!!!!

We seem to have a good sign up so far, but you know how it is...more MINI, more betta!!

Thanks for the invitation.

I went to Walmart and got some decorations including a santa hat. I'll bring some tape and add some bows to my bonnet and door handles and a blue and white snowman ornament to my stubby antenna. I hope the snowman can hang on for his life-he's a showoff cause he'll be doing it "no hands".

Lets take pictures so come early to set up our Holiday MINIs!

PS. I thought the other requirement is a "clean" MINI!

Just got word from Tweety's wife (Alice) that everything is still a go for the Christmas parade.

The main requirement is some Holiday decorations on the MINI.
We'll be meeting in front of Radio Shack with the Corvette Club.

Let's show off our Holiday MINIs

 

I hope the weather is favorable, maybe an umbrella and raincoat is in order.

Forecast for Saturday is currently:
Partly cloudy with scattered showers in the morning. Mostly cloudy with a chance of heavy showers in the afternoon. Highs near 80. Variable winds 5 to 15 mph.

That's the same forecast the whole week! I'll flip a coin next time.

Let make our decorations water proof just in case it isn't perfectly dry.
Santa is gettin Wet-n-wild now

 

ahhh...i'm currently trapped in my work place as out on california ave they've got the wahiawa x-mas parade going on. pretty cool decorations and stuff. leilehua marching band. some cool cars with decorations. but no mini's.

hope the mililani parade has some good mini reps of the x-mas spirit.

i'll probably be surfing at that time on the other side of the island, but i'd be there if i lived up there. i'll be there in spirit anyways. ho, ho, ho!

 

A big thanks to Tweety for the invitation and to MINI of HI for support of the Mililani christmas parade today.
We had seven nice MINIs (two MC and 5 MCS) including three new owners. There was a good crowd turnout as well.
We got all decorated up with wreaths, bows, garland, stuffed animals and stickers. Then we donned our santa/elf hats for a very leisure drive.

The weather held up and was actually quite nice. More like hot and sunny. This is December?

Wow, we won and we didn't even know we were being judged in a contest!
That was a good turnout and it was nice to meet our three new MINI owners (all less than a month).

Where did you get your MINI wreath? I was looking for one that size for my bonnet for the next christmas parade.
And another thing I did notice during the parade. You can stand up out of the sunroof and wave at the crowd from a MINI. Can't wait till be get MINI cabriolets for 2005 model year. A red one would be great for this sort of event.
Now if I could get my family interested in one to replace our old car at home. Can you say MCS cabriolet with CVT or better transmission? I thought you could!
