I'm in. I'll bring the '71...which of course means that 'cause we're on the north shore something vital is going to break

If Latka goes I will go too. Blue goes with red. Always. Plus somebody has got to go and pull red home if anything happens.
Is the 71' red or green by the way????

That's alright....blue can go with green....just as long as you're not color blind, I guess!

The '71 Mini is red with white bonnet stripes and a Union Jack roof. The '64 Cooper S is green, but that little guy isn't on the road yet

Does red still have the cherry bomb on? Very fierce!

Yup! When I swap out the motor (hopefully soon) I'll probably be going to a more "mini" exhaust, but it'll still be quite loud.

Where exactly is Waipio park? I don't get up there that often... usually just town and Kaneohe.

Adjacent to the Waipio Gentry subdivision is a HUGE city park with tons of space- baseball fields, lights, tennis courts etc. Go to H2 north and exit at waipio just like you are going to costco. at the top of the exit turn left but instead of turning left to costco go straight and head toward Kamehameha Hwy. When you reach Kam Hwy either go straight into the park and head left or turn left onto Kamehameha and then right into the park down the hill a third of a mile. I'm not certain exactly where they are meeting. You can try to reach me by cell phone. 284-6145

Okie dokie. Got it. Thank you for the Costco reference... know I have a good idea where to go.

Spent quite a bit of time on the Mini today. Washed 'er this morning (then of course it immediately rained on me as I went over the Pali), then this afternoon a buddy and I put a new tach in it, hooked up the driving lamps (finally - they've only been on the car for a year), and put the wood dash back in. Hopefully over this next week I can figure out how I'm going to mount the Integra seats in the little bugger. Can't wait to see ya folks again tomorrow! Hopefully we get at least a handfull of MINIs / Minis out there. My cell # is 389-2096 just in case anyone needs it.

Speaking of the '71 again... I think I might turbocharge the 1275cc motor I picked up. That'd put me in a pretty crazy class over at the SCCA Pro Solo II Autocross events, but it should make for a pretty quick little car.

See ya all in the morning.

So far it is Latka and I, anybody else up for this? Threes a crowd! Come one and all. Would be glad to have you.
Meet at 11am. Will be on the lookout for you. Look for a little red classic mini with a huge exhaust note-sort like the space shuttle on take off. Sonic boom on four wheels.

11am? Why am I up before 7am thinking it's at 9am? Hahahahahaha... oh well - that gives me more time to clean the little red car.

Well, just got back from the Eurocruise. There were very many VWs of all types. A few BMWs and AUDIs.
We had the classic 71' red cherry bomb Latka special, HI-MINI's electric Blue, my Indy blue and two chili Red coopers one was an MCS with aero/R90 wheels/magnaflow and short shifter and the other an MC with black roof, 18" wheels with Yoko Parada Spec 2 215/35-18 tires and black tinted tail lights with Carbon fiber aero rear spoiler.

We stayed at the park for a long long long time before we headed out to the north shore, in a huge line that stretched and stretched. We regrouped before Haleiwa and the MINIs decided to take a break for a shrimp and garlic plate lunch at Giorvani's. It was busy and the wait very long but it was a treat for me. I don't get out to Kahuku too often.

Thanks to all who attended and endured the hot sun.

Yes - 'twas a good time. Nice to see you guys again.

Learned a few things about throwin' a cruise event today, that's for sure... good things to know so we can make sure that when we have our first MINI cruise it goes very smoothly.

Lunch at the Shrimp Truck was good - long wait, and I'm sure I'll be burpin' up garlic before too long
