HMMC decals

--Hey I was driving out of Leonards today (don't ask) and I saw a silver MCS with a HMMC decal on the back. Is the club still selling these? I want one!

I think the decals came with the first 50 charter memberships.

I'll have to check around. I did not see any in the club materials I have.

I literally ONLY printed 50 for the charter members. So chances are, even if you do find some in the HMMC stash, it belongs to someone.

--Can we print more when we get another 10 members? I'm member 90. Did we hit 100 yet? Ooh! Ooh! Can we make it a reverse print for dark windows? Like transparent and stuff. Pleeeeeease!

i might still have the original file somewhere (it's an illustrator vector art). so it could be used as a decal or even for shirts...i was the one that designed it...

i hear that there is a new logo contest happening. i'm a graphic designer and i would recommend to whom ever designing the new logo to:

1. keep it simple for printing (crazy textures and fine details tend not to translate well.).

2. it should look good as a monotone as well as a 4 color design.

3. remember, someone will need to translate this design into an electronic form....design it so it can be converted to an electronic file easily (i.e. vector art).

other then that i'm courious to see what the new design will be....

Thanks for the tips, Louis! We wanted to do this, so that we can preserve the original sticker for the charter members as being a special thing!

FYI - If anyone didn't already know, Louis designed the HMMC Logo that you folks use today.

I would really hope that his original design would continue to be the "main" HMMC logo. But that's just my opinion, and who am I anyways, to say? (I'm just being sassy!)

It will stay as the main logo, but a lot of noncharter members want something to show their HMMC spirit, so we thought this would be nice and would also maintain the charter member integrity.

There's been confusion as to whether we're redesigning the logo...we'e not!

We'd like a design for a sticker that can be either sold or given with membership renewal(we have not decided that yet). It's not a replacement of the logo we have, which is tied to the club's identity.

If anyone has a problem with this idea, we can scrap it. I certainly don't want there to be any hard feelings over this. I just thought (with the president's blessing) that this would be a cool way to give everyone a little something, since those of us who aren't charter members don't have any club gear.
It was also a means to garner some participation and interest in our next event.

Feel free to PM me or post here if you have concerns about this.

IMO additional art for promotions and such would be great. this way, our club also could generate additional revenue for future various events and such...

but i'm always here if anyone has a question or needs a hand..

Yes, Let's keep the HMMC logo but look at various options for colors or what else can be done.

Seems like there is demand for a window decal.

Right now we are out of decals so it's time to restock for the future.
