Here are some tidbits about what we'll be doing at MINI at the Moana:


-Food (of course :smile: )

-Games such as: a pulley toss, possibly an autocross with RC MINIs, volleyball, bocce ball, and a MINI Coloring contest for the kids

-Barry (Tweety) will be giving a DIY talk on detailing

COme on out and have some fun in the park!!

 

Where is da Ala Moana Keyhole area?

 

The keyhole area is where the tennis courts are located. its a bug u shaped parking area.

 

I "dropped" in on this thread hoping to see photos of MINI/Minis in front of the Moana Hotel, but it would have been entertaining to see any part of Hawaii as backdrop for MINI/Minis. I hope someone posts pic after the event. Have a great time. Wish I could be there. (thumbsup*)

so how many so far RSVP'd for MINI at the Moana??? My son and I will drop by first thing in the morning so that we can play some tennis at Ala Moana...hopefully I'll still have my MINI even though I'm expecting to take delivery of my new car on Saturday. *knocking on wood*

 

Take a look at this view of the park.



In the middle of the park are tennis courts. To the left of them is Mc Coy Pavillion and to the left of that is a key hole parking area and oval lawn area which you can see on the picture. All of this is best accessed from the Ewa side entrance to the park.

Don't forget you can swim too! :impatient

 

i guess it's a "keyhole" lot...that's what i've always known it as. all i know is for those who wanna check out the surf on sunday, it should have some very fun stuff coming in. even more so we should take advantage of having "reserved parking" on a sunday with waves at ala mo park. all the others in their regular surfmobiles are gonna hafta duke it out for parking, while we can pull on into the keyhole for some prime parking slots. and score some nice refreshments after surfing.

Late night reply! Parking at Key Hole will be first come first served. Attempts to get a permit to reserve parking did not materialize. I'll be on site as close to 6:00AM as possible.

Okay, it's 7:35 AM. I'm at Key Hole and parking is filling up. Looks like most folks are out walking or catching some early waves. Stalls should free up as the morning progresses.

It's 9:05 AM and we have about 20 MINI's parked in and around Key Hole! Feel free to swing by! Parking is still tight, but a stall just might open!

woo hoo...good turn out! it was great seeing pyratio there! tweety's wife is interested in my MINI which made it a really good day for me! if she buys it, I KNOW it'll be in good, very good hands!

weather was good, people were having fun! perfect day for HMMC!
