Speed Gear at Ala Moana Closing

Aloha folks!-

Got another BIG RC MINI yesterady at a GREAT price. Speed Gear at Ala Moana Shopping Center is going out of business. They are selling their Wind Speed RC MINIs for $59.99. They had the originally listed at $165.00.

Several weeks ago I purchased the Fast Lane RC from Toys-R-Us for $79.00. The Wind Speed appears larger I'm guessing 1:6 scale as opposed to 1:8 for the Fast Lane. The Wind Speed also appears to have more functions like back-up alarm, engine sounds, and more.

I have yet to take either out of the box. DILEMA !!!!!!!!

Speed Gear also has 15% off all other items. I picked up a set of Hyper Ground wires for my MCS Works. Their selection of Aito Meter guages were 40% off with mostly boost and Nitros guages remaining. Simpson Jackets were 50% off and there was a good selection of sizes remaining.

Aloha!

Are these really good and fast RC's? My son wanted a MINI RC...but not a junky one or a mini RC (which we already have)...he wants a super fast one. Let me know what the box says...or maybe he and I will HAVE to go check it out today (and maybe a few other stores, too )

Don't know how fast the RC MINI is. Someone had one at Kaka'ako Park when we did our food drive and it was okay.

If you want fast you'll probably have to look into a Tamiya like this one at:
http://www.modelflight.com.au/rc_mod...ini_cooper.htm

There is a video at the site. These RCs are FAST !

Aloha!

Yah, they (the RC MINI at Speed Gear) don't look very fast. They're HUGE!!!! The link that you provided is cool! I don't want to spend that much. But if kbseto buys one...I'll HAVE to get one so that we can race.

whoa, just checked the site for tamiya r/c minis, and they're a bit steep. but those minis were ripping around the course. probably faster than me.

don't think i'll be p/u one of those tamiya's, too serious $$$ for me. plus i gotta save some $$$ for my life-size mini.

but i do have my x-mas present from last year from my brother that i still haven't opened yet. a ly/w r/c mini. i think it's a nikko. looks pretty easy to drive, like a beginner's model. perfect for me. i think i'll put that one thru driver's school first, maybe some car control manuevers and then some lap time around my real mini.

but i think i'll still venture down to ala mo speed gear to check for a brg/w mean green racing machine.

when's the next r/c mini race?

Would one of you mind posting or sending a photo of the remote control for the big Fast Lane MINI, please?
I have the car, used, but it came with only a battery, no remote or charger. I'd like to find both.

Good luck. It looks like everyone else on this tread hasn't been active in 4 years or more. Hopefully someone else might have the info you're looking for.

It is an old item, you might check with this Ebay.com vendor to see what works, not sure if this one does or not:
