[Hawaii] HMMC coffee gathering
We have decided to have more frequent, and shorter, gatherings. A lot of car clubs seem to be doing the coffee gathering (fairly early morning and not too long to allow doing other things for the rest of the day) thing, so we thought we'd give it a go too.
Location : Airport Trade Center parking lot (by Starbucks and Jamba Juice)
When : Saturday, 07/07/07
Time : 8:00 am
Just show up and talk story with fellow MINI/Mini enthusiasts.

I was up at 3am cooking today and it's now midday 703am!
5 still sleeping!
Hey the sun was up by 540am today. Time to get up already.
Monday morning after autocross I had a flight out to Hilo for work at 610am. At least traffic was light at 510am in the morning. Took only 17 minutes to drive in and park. :impatient

The idea of these get togethers is more frequently but shorter duration; therefore, we'll only be there about an hour and a half.
Check out the HMMC site forum to see who chimed-in to go.

Will try to do the same and hang around for at least an hour.
I tired the Jamba coupon but it expires July4th. I printed it anyway.
Any other coupon offers exist?
Anything (coupon) for Starbucks.
I thought that coffee shop in Aloha Tower Marketplace was pretty good for coffee, small shop with one guy that used to own a 1960s classic mini.
Looks like about 5 people may meet for this saturday.

Aloha and welcome Whisky B!
It would be great to have you join us.
I'll be there earlier tomorrow (about 730am). Then I gotta go take the kids to do snorkeling at Waimea in the morning. They leave on a flight back to the west coast that night. Hope we can get some decent weather.
Need an early start to get some good parking in Waimea.
Pretty good weather today!

Great seeing your black Works car today, and meeting you, W. Go check out our HMMC Forum (in fact sign up) and you'll photos of the cars that came today (I'll have their first names so you can match names with cars ). Click for pictures on HMMC club website forum.
Definitely a fun little gathering! We had eight MINIs, nine car enthusiasts, a jug of Starbucks, and big box of manapua - what more can we ask for?

Great job everyone.
Nice meeting Whisky B, that's a really really nice looking JCW MCS with aero kit. And he had to trade in his Astro Van to get it!
Like when I sold my '91 Dodge Caravan to get my '03 MCS four years ago.
Glad Latka could drop by.
Hopefully we will see more of the same members at the Test and tune Autocross school SCCA event on Saturday July 21st.
Hey, maybe we should bring some coffee for that event. I'm willing to pitch in for the cost.
Thanks to Sam for the yummy Manapua. Your ChiliWORKs MCS is to kill for "clean". They don't even make them that clean at the factory. You were up all night polishing, weren't you?
Sorry I had to leave early. Didn't make it to Waimea but did get to Ihilani Lagoons to do some snorkeling.
Spotted a juvenile Peacock Grouper-

Yep, Sam's car is mad-clean, as always. You should check out our detailing sub-forum for Sam's write-ups - so much detail and useful information!
We stayed until a little before 10am. Sam and Casey were the last ones there. I had to go to the Waipio Soccer Complex to see Rich's (the guy who came to auto-x) daughter play soccer. We are going to Shark's Cove for snorkeling tomorrow. Have a safe trip Brad.

Thanks minihune and dakinemini for your comments about my ride. It's both a habit and for proper rep'n of HMMC (especially since I'm a cleaning/detailing mod). Hopefully WhiskyB will be a new addition...his WORKs is the best example I've seen yet with that killer fully painted aerokit (w/honeycomb grill) and BBS mesh wheels.
It was great meeting the 'famous' minihune for the first time...now I can put a face to all your informative posts in the forums.

Let's plan on 730am at Home Depot Starbucks. I have a new Autocross book if you want to borrow it until later.
