To GP or not to GP...

To GP or not to GP...
So I was all set to buy a Roadster S in the spring. I had already chosen a color (spice orange with black stripes and wheels). But I visited a MINI dealer today and met the GP and it was love at first sight. So now the question is.....To GP or not to GP?
I currently have a 1st Gen Convertible S and love riding with the top down. But the rarity of the GP and the incredible handling has me thinking about purchasing the hardtop.
Thoughts?

Well....we actually have another "daily driver", a Honda Accord V6 coupe, as we all know the MINI is hard on you when driving long distances on the interstates. Lol. So my current MINI will be traded and my new MINI will be my daily driver for running errands etc. Just not sure the GP will be practical for that. I do know that I will have room for my suitcase in the boot of the GP when driving to the airport though! My current MINI requires removing the windscreen for the bag to fiy. Lol

Hmmm for errands. I guess it depends on what types of errands you'll be running! If you're going grocery shopping for example, I imagine the GP would do you just fine. If you're going to your local IKEA to haul some furniture home....... well, some people enjoy the challenge??

I have 11k miles on mine, about 7k of that from long interstate trips. No issues with the GP in any scenario.
I have owned a convertible (not a MINI) and had sunroofs in numerous cars. Don't miss either.
I have never driven a Roadster S though.
Still i can't find anything i don't love about my GP!!!

Not having cruise control keeps you much more engaged in your driving.

My first two vehicles didn't have cruise, and it never bothered me, and it does keep you more attentive to the road in front.
I hate people in my back seat.

Haha, just a week's worth of groceries?? Tetris skills, my friend! We buy two weeks' worth and can still fit a bit more, depending on what we buy.

The Roadster is a carryover in 2015, and will likely be the last year for it.

I asked you in the other thread where in Chicago you bought your GP. I knew I saw that you posted it someplace!! Haha. Not going crazy after all.
