wow, that's a bummer. I have a 2013 JCW and I chose it over a GP2, so you have me nervous now . The GP2 deals are definitely out there.....two different dealers were going to let them go for $35,500 when I was looking (dead of winter, snow everywhere, and they each had them on their lot for about a year).

Now I'm on pins and needles, as your experience is the first I have read of a problem that serous with a 2013 JCW. I was hoping that buying the last of the R56's, most of the gremilins would have been worked out...

The GP2 is a fantastic ride, and I am very glad it worked out for you. that "creamy" thunder grey paint is like nothing else out there-very unique, and stunning in person. In this day and age, I really think quality should be to the point that issues that require a car buy-back shouldn't happen, but it sounds like Mini and your local dealer did right by you

Time to light up those Kumhos!

thanks for the reply. You have nothing to worry about . My problem with my JCW was very rare. They think my car was built at 4:00 on a friday afternoon I loved my JCW and it was a great car ..if they still made them for 2014 i would have still got one as i love a lll the tech stuff like (nav, comfort access ect...) but this was the right choose for me. I race go karts as a hobby and this is just a go kart on steroids .enjoys your JCW because i know i did.

Thanks! If I didn't already have a weekend track car, the GP2 would have been in my garage, no two ways about it. I'm middle-aged and soft around the edges now, so I had to have my sunroof, cruise, H/K sound, back seat, etc for my daily driver

Not sure how many GP deals are out there anymore... there's only a handful left... the gp is pretty much gone

She's beautiful! Congrats. Sounds like the dealer tried to make it right.

I am purposely refusing to sit in or go near the GP's altogether out of fear I will want to trade in my JCW.
