Right, I can't imagine taking the swap. Seems like a compromise.

This guy!

It's going to be my main car. I have an old Subaru Legacy beater that likely won't get much attention.

The 'smart' thing may be to take the free tire switch-out, but it may hurt resale down the road, and I think I'll need a set of winter tires anyway.

Anyone picking theirs up tomorrow?

New member here, but took delivery of #120 today in Arizona. Love the handling of the GP but miss some of the creature comforts of my old S Hardtop. All in all very happy to have another Mini in my stable. Looking forward to running it in.

Made it home with the GP. Fantastic car, the dealer had 2 in and more coming - no roof number yet - it should be there next week. + opted for the All season tires - yes they will be run flats but will be better than the gumballs

It's not mine but since no one has any pics, thought I'd share some from work, we got 4 of them in, after hearing people complaining about all the decals and such, you really have to see them in person the car is freaking awesome, I did drive one, was really nice. Congrats on anyone who's getting one.

Posted this in another thread - not sure which one is the main GP thread:

Took Delivery today, and I'm in LOVE. I can't decide between staring at it from the outside and wanting to drive it more.

I had trouble understand the reviews that said it was 'faster than the specs show' until today - the thing is a ROCKET - EXTREMELY fast and nimble, and the handling feels as though it has supercar performance.

It's a bit loud (especially by the exhaust) but it DOES have bluetooth which works perfectly, and the ambient lighting is a cool feature for those that don't want to hear about performance :P

I had my choice of #0048 or #0369 - I took #0369...

I'm already planning a few trips just to take it farther. Troegs Brewery/ Hersheys factory here we come!

Pics to follow

I've had a spirited turn or two and the Kuhmos are nice and soft.

I've run stock suspension in my '08 Cooper S Hardtop (and later upgraded that to stiffer springs) and tested an R56 MINI Challenge race car at a track day for a few hours. I can say the ride in the GP is closer to that of the Challenge car. I can't wait til after I finish breaking in the motor to adjust the tow a little (the car comes with tools for adjusting the suspension) and take it out to the track for some Time Trial work.

For anyone waiting for delivery, you will not be disappointed.

Just checked out the GP at my local dealer as the first one arrived early this morning - number 0061 (not mine). Others due sometime this coming week. Clear bra was going on the front at the time. AWESOME looking car. Sooo much better in the flesh than in pictures. They are also getting #0051, #0187 and #0372 .

Mine is #0051 .

Did NOT swap the wheels. I'm no expert, but the car takes the power to the wheels SO quickly, and NO slip on some sharp corners.... I am LOVING the car.

Went to Raceway Park today to watch some drifiting, got a little anxiety over how close the cars were to crashing and thinking about my Mini being hurt

Should get a few good ones soon - including in the morning sun where it looks fantastic.

Thanks to this forum for helping to fuel the Mini Love

Thinking about buying an armrest - any idea how much that should cost to install and how invasive it is to the Mini? I'd rather not have anything drilled if I don't have to.

Just till he figures out how to adjust the coilovers.
