Just changed to 17" rims on my MINI GP
Looks alright man - I like it - I wouldn't say that it makes the Mirror caps somehow better looking though... not sure where that came from.
What's the weight on those compared to stock? - and how does the ride feel different now? - Asking because I may end up doing something like this for an AutoX set-up (sometime later next year)

i just know my rim weight 14.5lbs ,and after put my rims on my car, i can feel my car more faster and it's turn much more better , may be because my tires get more grip than the stock dunlop .

heh, my bad. I meant the JCW suspension.
Your car looks good. Slowly moving away from the GP look though....

The Velox Pro-Gear 10Rev.
The PG-Rev10 is the ultimate in fin design with its lightest weight of 11.5 pounds for 17inch application while maintaining its 690 load rating. The load rating determines the strength of the wheel.
These are the ones I'm looking into. 17x7 with 52 offset. Tires 205/40R17 or something suitable.
I will make a pass on these if any drilling of the lugs is involved though...
those look real nice...Like the TD Pro Race 1.2 (I wanted a set in flat black until I bought my new GP_) I wish they made the Falken 615's in the right size for the GP = but I didn't see them listed anywhere.
actually falken 615 has the size of 215/45/17 or 215/40/17 http://falkentire.com/rt615_sizes.html
and u can check on this website ,they sell a lot of diffrence bands rims .
http://www.aspecproducts.com/thumb.a...nid=48&modid=1
whatever u find a set of rims the size not wider than 7.5" and using +43 offset(don't more than +41) it will be ok for 215/45/17 tires with no rub.

that's good to know - but the GP has 18's - so until a buy a second set of rims I'll be running another brand...
I'm hoping to get some advice on the best tire for these rims (though at the moment I'm happy with the stockers)

are those the CE28N Time Attacks? I thought they only came in 15x7 for a 4x100 app. I've got a set of TE37 Time Attacks on order in a custom made 16x7....red mirror caps and black/red stripes to match.
I understand your concern with compromising the strength of the wheels. However, I took the wheels to a CNC custom wheel shop ( i am not using a compact drill to drill the hole ), who has had many years experience with machining. The wheels were CNC machined to open the hole by less than 1mm, which is within the tolerances of the structure of the wheel. They would not machine the wheel beyond a safe amount.
Hopefully this clears up some confusion and concern.
