TeddyGP / All,

Are these 50 offset? It doesn't look like the Volk CE28N's come in 52 offset at all. The closest seems 50, but in 5 lug. I'm not finding these "Time Attacks" in 50 for the 4 lug.

You know ... I've been looking and looking and looking now for some 17x7 (even 18x7) with an offset of 52 to match as close as possible the original GP rims, but in a lighter weight.

It's simple ... there aren't any. Closest maybe are the TeamDynamicsRacing Pro Race 1.2's in 17x7 50 offset in 4 lug. But they're heavier than the Volk CE28N and probably just as expensive (e.g. over $500 a rim).

Plenty of 17x7 out there in 42 or 43 offset. Plenty. The Velox come out the lightest overall. Just zero in 52.

Anyone know of any out there? 17x7 or even 18x7 in 52 offset? Any?

The wheels were CNC machined to open the hole by less than 1mm, which is within the tolerances of the structure of the wheel. They would not machine the wheel beyond a safe amount.
Hopefully this clears up some confusion and concern.

I will make a pass on these if any drilling of the lugs is involved though...

TeddyGP,

Can you elaborate? What kind of special ordering did you do? Get the 4 lug in 50 offset?

Also, where did you special order these from? Pricing?

I think we're all interested to know.

I've got mine coming from a Volk wholesale distributor who has a batch of 40 pieces on order in 4x100 16x7 ET42 (TE37 Time Attack). Rays Foundry will make whatever you want if you place the order - minimum size batch is 40 pieces or ten sets of wheels. The order was placed last summer....should arrive at Mackin in CA this week.

As for price....brace yourselves.....$1860 for mine. Forged, light and rare ain't cheap.

Those look KILLER!!!! So much so that I may have to get a third set of wheels/tires now. THANKS A LOT!!!! Hey, did you trim the hanging splash guard on the front end to keep it from scraping at all???? Just curious, cause mine scrapes a bit. Thanks. -Sean

I have the same question - it requires constant vigilance with the stock tire/wheel setup to keep from scraping the "splash guards" which I also call "aero scrapers" now, and I am unable to prevent it all the time.

I'm replacing my Dunlop runflats this week with Toyo Proxes 4's (keeping the stock wheels) and have decided to stick with 205/40-18 size instead of going to 215/35-18 so it won't ride any lower.

I will have a 500 mile trial on the Toyo's so I can see if I like them
