GP SIRIUS radio prewired
Have any GP owner installed OEM Sirrius radio?
GPs are not prewired for Sirrius/CD??
Instructions said car was prewired, but I could not find 3 and 6 pin plugs nor could dealer. Any (hidden) aftermarket Sirrius units, seen Alpine one?

No you don't. The DICE & XM kits use the exact same connectors as the OEM SIRIUS. One is the CD changer audio connector (6-pin) and the other is the I-BUS connector (3-pin).
The real question is... where do you find those plugs in a GP? Don't give up hope yet!

I think GP came without that Harness, I took rear pass side panel off cut felt tape wound around wires and no pins. I think I need to find some wire to connect to radio, basically create a harness. Or if there is an aftermarket wire cable I could hook up to radio and sirius?
The real question is whether GPs are supposed to come prewired for the CD changer. Based upon iflymini's post above, it appears they do... but I expect you may want to survey other GP owners more. I am almost postive that Ian Cull (GBMINI here on NAM) would know the definitive answer, so maybe you should try PMing him?

Hehe, wrong panels. The unit mounts in the pop-out side panel in the boot on the drivers side. I honestly do not know if the GP comes pre-wired but that is where the unit goes. The connector would be there I would assume.
Make sure it is mounted with the connectors up. The person that originally installed mine did it upside down and it kept cutting out. Sheetmetal was pushing on the antenna connector and causing it to cut out. Dealer flipped it over and replace antenna connector which resolved the issue.

Which only applies if the vehicle in question actually has the Harman/Kardon system. GPs don't, of course.
Mind you, even with the H/K, the CD changer wiring still normally goes up the passenger side of the car. I know, because that's how mine's run.
In order to put the SIRIUS receiver on the driver's side, you have to use a special extension cable to move the connectors from the passenger side to the drivers side. Again, I should know, because that's how my MINI has it.
All bets are off for the GP though... which is why we need someone who has specific experience with this on GPs... and hence why I suggested PMing Ian Cull (GBMINI), as he has done a lot of stuff with his GP stereo (including installing the DPSM!).

Good point Edge. I didn't even think of the extension cable. I actually forgot all about it. I will say, going by the pictures that were posted of where he was looking, those were the wrong panels to be looking behind.

So in conclusion GP does not have that harness. Mazda/MINI Recycling is looking into it they have all harnesses but are checking to see if it is part of the entire (dash) body harness which they want $500 bucks for or seperate from body harness that would only be $50 bucks. I imagine it is separate (I really hope) cause they one is the CD changer audio connector (6-pin) and the other is the I-BUS connector (3-pin).
Does anybody know if they are separate from body (dash) harness?
