... like with the permanent plates for my new Mini...

Luck of the draw? Who knows?

So where exactly is "Statesota", anyway? And the web address on the plate doesn't work, either.

Looks like a custom-ordered novelty plate to me, but I may be missing something.

EDIT - Got it now - "Moral Orel" reference.

There's a tendency for folks to "pixel-out" the numbers on...

... pictures of license plates posted on the internet. Somehow, doing so for this picture...

...seemed to make the idea of posting a moderately interesting plate number (for an MCS, at any rate) pretty much pointless, nicht wahr? So I tweaked the State rather than the number.

Well, with a blue-on-white plate, and Michigan in your profile, I figured it's probably a Michigan plate, but very nice Photoshop job, regardless.

And if you go to the Michigan DMV website, you can confirm that "R53 JCW" has been claimed, but curiously enough, "R52 JCW", "R54 JCW", "R53 JCV" and "R53 JCX" are all still available.

Still believe that plate was randomly-assigned?

... I want a Statesota plate.

I rather suspect the state officials that concern themselves with trivialities like license plates, parking and, er, traffic enforcement would fail to see the humor in it though.

Drat!

Still a sweet plate, especially since yours is probably one of the last R53 JCW models to come off the line.

Currently sunny and 40ish. Much like myself

This morning driving into work there were warnings for something I had never heard of before..."Freezing Fog"!

Damnedest thing I'd ever seen.

Ah yes. The marvels of freezing fog.

First came across it on a DTW to LA drive on I40 near Rolla MO. Scary stuff as it started to build up on the wipers.

We had it down here (Deetroit 'burbs) yesterday AM as well, but it was nothing like my first Missouri encounter.
