Don't be sad! Yellow is such a happy color. I'm not sure "yellow" or things that are yellow have to be in the name. Mine is Chili Red/Black and is named Jake.

Have you (as suggested by many NAM members) asked him/her what his/her name is? Then you wait and something will "pop" into your head.

That's MY suggestion!

Bercilak

Mine is Bercilak --

(spolier warning in case you're a few hundred years behind on your reading!)

-- the real name of the Green Knight in the medieval poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." Very green, and very British.

And I always thought the Green Knight was the Lady of the Lake in disguise.

Only today?

Actually though, I had read a book of Arthurian legend that said in a story that the Lady of the Lake assumed the identity of the Green knight to teach Gawain a lesson.

Mine is going to be named Cupcake for a few reasons. First is that I am a Pastry Chef and I wanted something related to my profession. Second is because a cupcake is a little cake, kinda like the Cooper is a little car. Second is that it reminds me of a cupcake in that it is "frosted" (the top roof color). I put it for the custom plates. I had to put 4 choices so I listed these: CUPCAKE, CUPC8KE, KUPCAKE, KUPKAKE. So, there ya go, hopefully if i get the plates I will put a couple small cupcake graphics inside or something.

DIX, here are some suggestions my co-workers came up with when I was naming my ly/w cooper: yellow fever, post-it (like the notes), Chiquita, sundog, tweety, sun kissed and lemon sole.
I liked the names but none of them felt quite right for me. It took me 9 months of ownership before I found the perfect name. Unfortunately, the license plate was already taken so I am stuck with the one assigned by the DMV.
Don't worry - the right name will come to you.

Someone mentioned that my PW/PW/PW was very "Stormtrooper", so he is named "Jango" after the father of all Stormtroopers!

I went through a fairly extensive name search... trying to find an English (origin of manufacture) or Celtic (my wife is Irish). Being a small, white car, those definitions snuck in there as well. I was looking for short, memorable names with some character. Here is the list I built before stumbling across "Jango":

Name -- M/F -- Origin -- Meaning
Gemma -- Female -- English -- Gem
Birdy / Birdie -- Female -- English -- Contemporary name meaning Little bird; birdlike
Binny -- Female -- English -- Form of Bianca. White
Jenna -- Female -- Celtic -- Form of Jennifer: White spirit
Wynnie -- Female -- Celtic -- White or fair

Name -- M/F -- Origin -- Meaning
Dahy -- Male -- Irish -- Capable, quick, agile
Daithi -- Male -- Irish -- Beloved, quick, agile
Albin -- Male -- English -- Old English for brilliant, bright, white
Eljin -- Male -- Celtic -- Noble, white
Whitman -- Male -- English -- White Haired
Becan -- Male -- Celtic -- Small

Hehe? I have a feeling of utter dread about the non-listed names. Plus...my MINI can't be related to anything concerning a banana...it's too short! AND BEFORE ANYONE GOES ANY FURTHER...I mean't it in a NICE, CLEAN way...(perverts!)

Good suggestion. I picked yellow 'cause it makes me VERY happy whenever I catch sight of my baby. My personal happiness meter has jumped at least 99.9 % since buying the best car in the world!

We named our MINI Rex because it just suits the car and Rex is latin for dog, and our car has a bulldog stance. And being a JCW car, it's a little ferocious.

when i ordered mine miniusa wanted me to name it so i could track it from the factory. i looked at several photos of other minis that would be similar to mine. Suzi just popped out of nowhere but it fit her perfectly. now Suzi and i have slain the dragon together and countless other colorado mountain twisties. names are important and should carefully considered, or just pop out of nowhere. HAVE FUN.
