Mini has it's body kit!!

 

Very nice! What rims are those, they look freaking sweet!

 

JCW 18' rims. So far all upgrades have been through the JCW group. Audio and lighting will be a different story!

 

i just got mine back in may '06 and i LOVE this color! i haven't seen any royal grey MINI in my area when driving around. you do get a lot of looks in this car, and i don't know if its just the MINI nature, or the color (meaning a lot of MINIs are typically bright i.e. red, blue, yellow, white) i think that the RG throws people off when they see it, but that could just be me. i agree on the color shifts. at night or on overcast days, the car looks a deep charcoal grey,
but in the sun and under lights, it almost has a olive-ish color to it. if anyone is considering this color, it is well worth it! i posted the first pic i took of it when i got it. don't know if this is any better than the others on here, but its the only one i have in the sun. i also posted a nice BW i took one day, but really has no relevance to this thread.

ehh what an ugly color trim doesnt go with the car sure it makes it stand out but ehh idk anyways i think those pipes are actually for like a bike rack on the back

 

Correct reponse was "Bike Rack", Also have the tow bar for towing a small trailer. As for the trim color, I don't expect everyone to like it. It just appealed to me to have the roof color brought down to reference the rest of the car. It really doesn't show in low angle shots.

 

okay i never saw what the hooks for the bike rack looked like, but they do look like machine guns

 

I thought about putting a sticker on the back window.."DANGER! Defensive systems engaged!" LOL

 

That is too cool, should make the barrels operational with paint guns for unfriendly drivers. Should also have covers or doors that open to reveal the barrels too. I like the sticker, it is now another consideration along with hummer escape pod.

 

I'm so glad I found this thread...I am freaking out, I bought a Royal Grey 2006 on 10/13/06..site unseen....scary!! My husband coached my into it. I was ready to go for the dark grey (my old mini was light grey with black top) Anyway..last second changed my mind and I will get it next week..S model this time around with fog lamps...I am on pins and needles...thanks to maximini I think that is what it will look like ( I HOPE!!!:impatient )I will post pictures when I get it. that is all for now...waiting.....waiting.....

 

Trust me, you'll love it. IMHO, RG is the best color, bar none. Plus it's nice to have a color that a lot of other people DON'T have.

 

Yeah... they only offered it for one year. Plus everywhere else in the world Royal Grey was offered only on the Parklane Cooper? (Correct me if I'm wrong)... not being offered on the Cooper S. So us peeps in the U.S. were lucky as we could pick and choose between colors and options between the Parklane/Checkmate series and I took full advantage of it

 

Love the color and trim it is a very nice look.

WOW! that is all I can say....I don't think this can be legal..this car is fast and fun it should be outlawed..just kidding I will post some pictures. I will be getting the windows tinted on monday then I park it till I give birth to my baby girl (due any day now) my husband can drive it till I can..or maybe not I absolutely love it, the color is great! (thanks for all the great reply threads) I am so stoked on my new mini s...named pixmini..licence plate coming soon...check out my gallery for all pictures of the night of the "pick up"

Beautiful Mini indeed. Royal Gray Mini is one to the most attractive color on the street.
What color is your interior. Your Pixmini seems to be my twins plus rally lights.

 

I love Royal Gray....but none of the dealers around here has the touch-up paint in R/G in stock.
They said it's back ordered, and will take around 2 weeks or so to order one, if there is any.

 

My Royal Grey Mini is a month old now and I think it was the only color for me. Classy! Congratulations to all other Royal Grey owners. We Rule!

i'm modding the interior next, w/ custom cobra misano seats in black leather with body color matching ostrich skin inserts. i ordered two extra ostrich hides to complete the interior.
