Thought I'd revive this thread to see if we have any new Royal Grays in our midst. Additionally, has anyone done graphics other than Silver or black on a Royal Gray? Mine are in the works, but may be a couple more months before I get them on.

Sorry for low quality picture but I'll do some more in daylight asap. I just love it my Park Lane RG/S - xenon lights - S spoke 17" - panoramic sun roof - sport steering wheel.

One question if you don't mind? Should I get rid off "Park Lane" stickers on front wings and side windows ?

I did white Bonnet stripes and Coopers S on the windshield. Looks great. I will take some pics when I get a chance.

the emblems make it more rare, don't you think? and front wing stickers match the roof. I think it all looks good. It's a gorgeous car and gorgeous color! I was very close to choosing that color myself, although we don't get the stickers or emblem here in the U.S. :(

I'll probably leave the ones on wings which indeed match the roof but I'm still not too sure about the other two on rear windows.

I also noticed that in the States or North America mirors are painted in Silver rather than ours in Europe which are chrome. Is that right?

I had to get used to the Royal Grey but now I think it's a fabulous color and great combination with Silver roof. Love it to the bone.

I believe the mirrors match the roof--silver for silver roof and body-colored with body-colored roof, but the chrome mirrors can be ordered as an extra cost option. I do agree Royal Grey is a fantastic color with the silver contrast roof. It looks even better with chrome! I really wanted Royal Grey as it seemed like a "final" color for this current series, but decided for Dark Silver/Silver since it's a color combination that seems specific to the U.S. Do post more pictures when you can!

I'm not too sure about the Dark Silver / Silver combination being available in Europe. AFAIK, Dark Silver is either available with white or black roof and only on a MCS. Dark Silver is not available on a standard Cooper.

What good pictures!! Most of the RG don't depict the grayish brown aspect.

hgsbnt--nice pics! I often think that the MINI metallic colors will show different hues under different lighting. I think they look fantastic on overcast days...definitely a gorgeous color combination. Looks awesome with the chrome too.

So, do we think that Royal Gray will be discontinued at the end of the 06 production run? Since Solar Red goes, I would imagine the other two that were debuted this year will too? Thats fine by me as our Royal Grays will be rare(r)!

I knew there was a Royal Grey thread somewhere. I absolutely love our color more everytime I look at it. Check out my gallery if you are wondering what it looks like with a ton of CHROME!

nope - those are the ASA AR1's - ASA is liscensed by BBS.

Those look to be the chrome option. I plan on getting those for my RG/RG as well, only in the silver finish.

Looks great, now I have really pics of what they look like on teh RG - thanks!

had a look at your gallery. Very nice Mini.

One question. How did you do for your custom made plaid? You removed OEM ones and copied them? I'd fancy some alcantara ones.

Matching roof with black hood stripes. English leather, cold weather, sport, premium. I love it...

Cool, I didn't know you could get the black bonnet stripes on the RG body.

Has anyone here ever seen a RG with silver bonnet stripes but with a chrome scoop? I may be leaning in that direction, but I'm not sure if it'd look odd, having the three "flavors" of gray, silver, and chrome in such close proximity.
