Im back....From Dark Silver to into Black Eyed Pea
Well fellow members....Since selling my 2004 Dark Silver MCS in a year ago.....And 2 more cars after, I missed the cooper s so I just picked up a new GIRL....She is beautiful....Don't actually have my hands on her till this weekend...but here is a preview.
P.S. Havent thought of a name yet......Any ideas?

Congrats on your BEP (nice wheels). Mine is a 2005 MCS BEP with a white roof that now has a "flags of the world" graphic. Come to MINIs In The Mountains (Colorado) next year and you might be only the 2nd BEP there! www.minisinthemountains.com
Hi. I posted here before, but the car was just repainted after someone vandalized the car. They scratched up the paint quite badly. I got the lower plastic trim painted to match the rest of the car. I think it turned out pretty good. Here are a couple of shots...

We just found a 2006 MCS in Black-Eye Purple (per badge under the hood) with silver top/mirror caps for my daughter. Local used car dealer, kinda shady but came close to price I was looking for and saved me a 4+ hour one-way drive to Bay Area to look.
Was reading somewhere that BEP was only "available" in Europe, though. In US was called Purple Haze. My daughter wants to know if her car is "special". I patted her on the head and said "of course it is, because you're special"

Even though the tag under the bonnet (hood) shows "Black Eye Purple", it was most likely sold in the US as "Purple Haze". I have a 2005 purple haze, white roof, "S", under hood tag is "Black Eye Purple". Outside the US it is known as Black Eye Purple. They are rare because they were only sold for model year 2005 and only part of 2006. Here's a photo from 2005.

But it drives great and is an awesome colour.
Before you invest in a new window motor, try the Fonzie method of fixing the problem. Quite often, it's just dust or dirt getting into the relay switch on the motor. A good rap somewhere between the door speaker and door open handle can knock out the dirt and your power window might work again. I did that about 2 years ago and my passenger side window has not failed since.
I remember doing these for someone...many years ago. Don't recall who. Clear metallic over purple base.
I remember them. I met you at AMVIV and you came up with those afterwards. I couldn't get Wife acceptance factor to buy them off you. I felt really bad about that. Glad you found a buyer for them.
