Boo to driver assist and warnings "features"

One huge thing that bugs me with my 2019 MINI Cooper S is all the warnings and safety "features"! I'm glad that it doesn't have lane departure warning or blindspot monitoring (I'd HATE active features like auto-braking or lane assist), but every time that I park, the backup monitor goes crazy! I get that I'm close to other objects, but I'm parking man! I'd be okay with some visual cues or minor beeping, but I feel that it goes too far with how loud and frequent the beeping gets. Is there any way to turn it off or turn it down (even if I need to use something like the bimmerapp)?

While I'm at it, can you turn off the front collision warning? In the options, I already have it turned to "Late" warnings. But in reality, that doesn't bug me nearly as much as the backup warnings.

Unrelated questions:
-Can you set up your instrument panels to have a duplicate (numerical) of the speed, but keep your odometer? It seems like when you have any other information on it (cycle with the tip of the turn signal), it's two lines which the bottom contains the odometer. But if you display your speed, it starts as two lines, but after a second or two, it displays your speed as a large, two line value.

-Can you select the color that your ambient lighting for the center display shows? I feel like it used to be light blue or teal, but now it's yellow. So I don't know if that's based on anything or if it can be set? (Again, does something like bimmerapp or iCarly allow it to be changed?)

I don't know of any way to turn of back up sound, agree that is obnoxious. But in todays society they are being overly cautious I suppose. The color for center is changeable, it's under My Mini. Not sure which sub menu, but can pick color or coincide with driving mode.

I'm not sure that they're being overly cautious. I think the features exist for the morons who drive while texting (or other distracting activities). Most of us here -- enthusiasts -- probably don't need lane assist, etc. But too few people see driving as requiring their full attention.

This man out here living in 20019.

In all seriousness, I hate almost every nanny state and safety feature forced upon us, mostly because I hate anything forced upon us "for the greater good."

My biggest whatever is the scenario where an electronic nanny doodad fails mid trip where the millennial texting expert is expecting nanny to see him/her safely home and they wind up mangled in some mysterious way, who is the insurance company going after? Situational awareness is a thing of the past I fear, and I fear being the target of those suffering from rectal defilade.

I have a problem with anything that replaces the necessity for human engagement, especially when it involves potential harm to other people.

Honestly, I rarely blame inanimate objects for human behavior. Relying on some nanny state safety item is your fault.

The color of the console (if select the option to match ambient lighting) and ambient lighting is controlled by the toggle switch on the ceiling. You can select a specific color or have it cycle through all colors continuously.

In general, I find the safety features quite distracting (and annoying). Can a third party program (like Bimmerapp or iCarly) get rid of/reduce the warnings?

Thank you! I'll try it next time I'm in my MINI.

And does anyone know if you can have both your speed and odometer displayed? I don't know why speed needs to be in huge numbers while all the other information can be in two rows with the odometer.

I don't think so, others have asked and don't recall seeing any solution
