2016 cargo tool kit question

I recently purchased a used 2016 Mini Cooper S and it looks like the toolkit in the trunk is missing some stuff. Any idea what’s missing? Looks like all I have is the tow hook.

Yep its like that on most models, it has room for more tools, its just that model and options/country you get the basics. Did you get an F56 model?

Do you have run-flat tires (or at least your MINI was shipped from the factory with run-flats)? If so, I don't think you get most of the jack stuff.

That makes sense. It is an F55 with run flats. Being a used car I wasn't sure if they were left out. Thanks.

My 2007 MCS R56 came with an incomplete toolkit. I initially thought it was because the previous owner had misplaced some, but it is most likely that they didn't come with some parts like the jack since there is no spare tire and it originally had run-flat tires.

I think that's what happened to mine. It is an F55 with run flats.

That is the way they come. I put in a small tool set I got from somewhere that had a bunch of ratchets and other useless tools. Makes me feel better.

I just bought a new 2019 F56 from the dealer and it just came with a small bag that had that hook and a screw driver. Underneath the trunk liner, there was a small cutout that was just empty.
When I was buying and asking about spare tire options/kits, the sales person was like "it has run flats and if it's too bad to drive on, you have roadside assistance". There was no options at all for a spare kit or tools. She seemed confused that I'd even want it.

Same – 2015 F55 here. I bought a fully equipped toolkit from eBay and put it there in place of the factory joke.

(Premium priced car is nickel and dimed by cost reduction specialists… 🤦*♂️)
