After my jaw dropped when I heard a local vinyl shop wanted $800 to put vinyl stripes on my bonnet and boot, I came here to search the forums. Lots of vinyl threads but can't find one that guides me on where to go to buy some

I want matte red bonnet and boot viper stripes on my MINI. Kinda like the challenge MINI. I don't plan on doing the roof. Where should I start to look online?

About a month ago I got stripes from houseofgrafx.com for my wife's R53 and we put them on ourselves. They were approximately $55 and they look great!

 

$800 !!!!!

You can get 'em painted on for less than that!

is there another shop around? Sounds like this guy just doesn't want the business . . .

How are those stripes holding up from Houseofgrafx? I was looking at their selection on eBay. I like double center stripe with side pins on bonnet & boot, but don't know how to install around the logo. Any advice?

 

What part of NC are you in?

 

I installed boot stripes. Had to remove the Cooper S badge using dental floss. I carefully laid out painter's tape outside the stripe area and marked the vertical and horizontal parameters for the new badge.

We did an off set stripe, so we didn't have to go anywhere near the MINI badge. It's been a couple of months and they're holding up great without any problems at all. I'll post a photo a little later.

 

Thanks to N2MINI, I put on my own stripes last Friday.


For those asking about the MINI logo, I removed them both, plastidiped them black, and just recently placed them back on.


Below are pictures of the stripes. Did it myself, first timer, I have enough vinyl to fix some mistakes. But its really rewarding to DIY this project.


I will take new pictures once I'm happy with it and with the MINI logos on.
