Got my 2013, whats new?

How much work is involved with putting in a short shifter?
I can't wait to join the Cherry Popping with you guys! I've ordered the DRL's, GP rear diffuser, and the short shifter adapter already, the car isn't delivered yet:( This is not a good sign...
The difference is amazing.
Which model did you get?
You will love the DRL's. I got so many looks just this morning driving to the grocery store. Two people in the parking lot just froze and stared.
Which short shifter did you get?
I'm here for advice if you need it.
Again, welcome to our thread!!

Hehe.
Getting into that interior still feels special.
But I gotta clean it.. its pretty much spotless.. Weathertech floor mats are nice (but far from perfect).. Still have some sand from my shoes from the past few days of crazy rain.
Yeah, keeping floor mats looking nice is a bit of a PITA. I got the all weather rubber mats because I can hose them down and scrub them and they stay looking nice for the long term. Carpet mats are harder to keep looking good.
I love cocomats when they're new but not buying them anymore because the fibers tend to get loose after a year or so and they they always just look a bit ratty.

Bet those seats just pull you in and wrap you up in their supple yet firm grasp...sigh...
Wish MINI would offer more of the interior trim options for the CM. I love the trim!

Nice thread!
I've just completed the transition (which was harder than waiting for Christmas Day as a 6 year old!). I ordered a very heavily optioned JCW Convertible...having no idea of when it would be delivered. The deal with my wife was that I wouldn't drive it until I sold my 2005 MCSC with under 39/5k miles on it.
Well, it arrived very quickly. So quickly in fact that between graduations, business trips, vacations and such, it sat ~ pristine, in my garage. I finally was home long enough to list my MCSC for sale and was a little stunned with the first person who saw immediately offered full price
, if they could just have 3 days to get their financing in order. (pictures here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post3767279
Well, the deal was sealed this week....Old Mini has a new home...and I get to drive the JCW!
While I loved my old Hyper blue MCSC, the JVC convertible it just a huge step up!
I agree with previous posts. But having put 1,000 miles on it in a little over a week
, I can confirm the following.
Changes as of this date (I had to have SOME reason to drive it!
):
* Changed side scuttles to GP Type (others too chrome-e)
* Run flats to Michelin Super Sports

* Custom Sport strips from chin to just above defuser drawing from the JCW color scheme
* "Let's Motor" license frame
* Installed iPhone cord lengthener (why are the factory's so dang short?)
* Installed wind blocker (pricey little sucker)
Just ordered LED fog lights, from same place as SG...looking for local installer.
Wants
* One button close for the convertible
* Be able to close the top from the fob (can open, but not close)
* European outside convex mirrors, heated
* GP defuser
* Do something with the door pulls...look unfinished compared to rest of car
* To update my AVATAR!
Not sure I'd do the short shifter....so love the vastly improved feel of the new manual to the old!
Taking ques from what you all are doing!
Pictures coming VERY soon!!!

- Burbles - started with none....just now getting TONS!
- Ride - Far improved and even less cowl shaking!
- Shifting - HUGE improvement over the '05
- Power - Gone from "Wow" to "OMG"
- Cornering - Can't believe it, but even more planted than the '05, which was a slot car!

You are the passionate type of person we want.
If you can't find a local installer for your DRL'S, take a road trip to Phoenix and I'll hook you up for $135, and give you a guest room overnight!
I didn't even touch my Sport button until 600 miles - part of my normal slow (and probably overly ****) break-in process. But since then, I'd say the the number of burbles and pops has steadily increased.
In fact, would you believe that today I burbled a bank, a bridge and a beaver? (It waddled across the road after I drove by.)
