I think the N18 JCW might be the best JCW engine to date.

Performance wise, it's damn awesome. I hope the reliability is there too. So far, so good. And thank Goodness, no walnut shell blasting needed.

I might. I was down at their Meet and Greet with DC MINIs yesterday in Gaithersburg. One of the guys there had recently installed the JCW steering wheel and exhaust on his R60... Very nice! Lots of pop and burble, which is was quite a contrast to what I had read about the exhaust on the R60; almost makes me want to upgrade!

Man, if you can get the Pop & Burble similar to my JCW R56, go for it. It's sooooooo awesome. Now that mine is good and broken in, it pops and burbles like crazy !

Hope you can make it to that car show. Keep me informed.

+1. The exhaust on our JCW R60 is pitiful, simply pitiful...Mini dialing out the snap/pop of the ECU tune on US-bound cars, I assume so that the small SUV crowd Mini wants for the countryman won't flock to the service advisers complaining that the "car is backfiring"....that's pitiful.

Our R56 JCW has got a fantastic sounding exhaust...I'm not going to change anything with the exhaust on that car....how a Mini should sound.

We are hoping that we can listen to an exhaust at MOTD that sounds great, so we can get that stock unit off the R60.

It's such a shame. There are several You Tube videos of Euorpean R60 JCW's and the exhaust sounds simply fantastic(SPORT mode, of course).

The mounting bracket are now gloss black… You'll need to remove the S rear spoiler, and replace it with a base model spoiler, so the G wing will properly fit. I'm really impressed with the quality and fitment of the Orranje G Wing. This little project has turned out rather nicely.

Well, let's not jump the gun on that one. Got another snow storm overnight. Not a big one but enough to delay my office's opening a couple hours.

Brutal damn winter. Lost track of the snow fall events. Had to be around 15.

Awesome! Im doing the same with my mounting brackets.. I think the gloss black looks better! But I also have a base spoiler to take place of the S spoiler.. Did you install it yourself? Post a pic if you can!.. Ive been dying to do mine but the weather has been sooo horrible.. Another snow storm is coming in tonight! Great! This is by far the worst winter I have ever seen..hands down!

Very happy to report after 8 months and 6,700 miles, my JCW still has that wonderful new car smell. What's the record for still having that smell ?

Geez, man... I'm babying mine by only driving it on days there is 0-10 percent chance of precipitation. That's like twice a week. How many miles you have on yours now ?

Yeah, I think it's pretty impossible to keep it over a year. I'm relishing the great smell every time I get in the car, while I can.
