Well, must not have been the money I got because I surely wouldn't call it a LARGE sum of money.

Hope you had a nice Christmas, Zippy ! And an early Happy New Year to you !

Yeah, I didn't even take away his key for a while like I would have had he had an accident due to carelessness. His first time driving in the snow, crap happens.

Your a good dad CR.. your son probably felt horrible already..im sure he learned something.. My first winter with my first MINI was an eye opener for me.. one minute things were fine...next thing I new I was spinning in circles like a top!! ha ha.. not to mention I damn near crapped my pants!! lol.. That was my first experience with run flat sport tires in snow..and I think we all know what that's like!! EEK! :D

Yep. I slid on black ice in Germany when I was young and took out a post. Haven't had an accident on ice or snow since... 29 years later. Hoping my son can go at least the rest of the winter without another one. After that, he'll be out on his own and he can pay for it.

Same here! Got gift cards to ECS and WWM to go along with my blind spot mirrors! Hard part is deciding what else to get, but I think I might go with a short shifter and possibly the belly pan.

I just ordered a NM Short Shift kit and cover box and a WMW rear sway bar for my R60 Can't wait!

Also installed the blind spot mirrors, which have taken a few days to get used to. Because of the slight bend in the glass (duh!) everything appears a little distorted and it's been throwing me off...and I thought the mirrors were supposed to solve blind spots, not cause them!

Congrats!! Easiest way to view blind spots is to extend your mirror view out further from the car = free

Happy New Year, Fellow Gotters !

May 2014 be your best year ever. May your MINI(s) be problem free, suddenly develop 20 more HPs, 5 more MPGs and your seat become more comfortable.
