Still brings a smile to my face each time I stomp on the go pedal. Thinking about picking up a BMS JB in the near future which should add the extra umph I'm looking for.

I'd just like to bring my clubs and do some golfing in Az...I can sleep on the floor.

Had a small oil leak on my 2013 JCW HT. Dealer replaced oil solenoid. I then found this service bulletin:
"Mini: on certain model vehicles, an engine oil leak may occur, due to the compromised oil pump volume control solenoid valve, from the underside of engine."

Always crappy when stuff like that breaks, but nice to hear that it was covered! Back to motoring!

Tech knew what it was before even looking. Common I guess.

Good info, SG. Will file that one in the recesses of my brain for future reference, if needed.

Time to swap out my winters for summers on my 05 Justa. If it snows next week, you can blame me !

Ive read about this solenoid valve leak.. the way I understand it that oil works its way out through the wire harness that sends power to this valve. Its something to keep an eye on. I think it effects all N18 engines.

Yup, that's the one. I think they replaced the wiring harness to it as well.

Yep then that is the one! I think that in time most will end up getting them replaced. It sounds like it could short out if oil gets to a point. But all in all Im still not worried. Love this MINI. Heck even the F56 has a recall out and most are being fixed at port.lol.

What's the recall? Btw, I sat in a F56 S, and the new seats are sick!!!

Yes.. The seats are awesome in the F56.. Theres a lot of cool new electronics too. But the recall is nothing more then the oil filter housing gasket. Its the gasket that goes between the engine block and oil filter housing.. Its not the round rubber ring that you get with each new oil filter. Funny thing is this is something BMW engines have problems with. I am curious to see the F56 evolve into its place as the new MINI.

Although I haven't seen one in person yet, I think they look pretty good; at least they're growing on me. I'm looking forward to seeing the refresh on the 2015 Countryman which is supposed to debut at the NY Auto Show.

It looks like those seats are bmw seats !? so what's the front element of the seat? It looks like you can adjust it. If that is so I guess you can adjust the length based on people's legs length, fancy?

Parts of me really likes the added comfort and parts of me feels like it's not a MINI seat anymore and doesn't fit the car as well.

Hey TG, I didn't sit in the new F56 long as I was in a bit of a hurry that day. But the seats did feel very good. My MA was trying to get me to take it for a test drive. But next time I wanna give it run! Then I will give it a closer once over. But honestly I think MINI is headed in a new direction. Good or bad im not sure yet. I still have a hard time with the front end looks and those HUGE taillights. I am very happy with my 2013 I feel its more of a MINI of what im accustomed too.

I think I would go and check the new F56 out for the heck of it. I would like to hear what you think of it. Its like you said. they do take some growing on you. There are improvements there. But man I still have a hard time with the outside appearance. Maybe if I bumped my head everything would look cool.lol. But I also want to see what the new 2015 countryman. Things to watch and see how they all turn out!

I actually did wait for the F56 to appear at the Detroit Auto Show, and looked it over, up and down, in person. Then I scoured the country for an R56 JCW.

I'm friendly with the local dealer and when I was having my Alta exhaust put on a couple of weeks ago, they asked me to drive an F56 S M6 to see what I thought......er, sure, why not!

I have many detailed opinions about it, but the short answer for me is it's a fine BMW, not so great Mini....

How's it going, everyone ?

Just hit 10K miles on mine this week and still lovin' it !

Haven't posted lately, too much drama with the selling of my house and searching for land/another house. Had my house sold, had a contract on a great house. Five days before settlement, the bank informed my buyers they wouldn't approve their loan. Back on the market. Have had two offers since then, rejected both. More showing this weekend.

My son also graduated from high school a few weeks ago and now he's 9 days from going into the Air Force. Busy times !

Hope all is well with my fellow '13 Gotters !!

Busy here too! Hit 25k last week on the CM and still going strong. Had to replace a tire a few weeks ago, but no other problems.

Congrats on your son graduating HS (South or North Hag?). Is he enlisting or going to the Academy?

I've always hated the routine associated with selling a house and moving; definitely don't envy you there!

Thanks, he graduated from Tech High here in Hagerstown and he's enlisting. Going in as a Fire Fighter. Hopes to get his degree and apply to OTS eventually.

25,000 miles, tires should have some more life on them and you replaced just one... pot hole ?
