It saddens me to report the death of NAM member, drsimmons. Dave will be missed. Thank you for all your Mini Wisdom and Witt. Please keep Deb and the Simmons family in your prayers.

 

I got the news this morning myself. To think, I just saw him a couple weeks ago. You just never know. I was told his wife (Deb) is going to hang on to the MINI. I sent her an e-mail expressing my symapathy earlier today. Dave will be missed. He was a super nice guy.

 

I used to see him on here a little bit - sorry to hear about him passing.

 

I always enjoyed reading his posts, sad news indeed!!

 

For those who knew him personally, I am sorry for your loss. Like RJ, I also enjoyed his posts and will miss his contributions. I hope his wife finds comfort in the Mini community, which seemed to bring him much enjoyment.

This really saddens me. He has provided a lot of support to me on the recent purchase of my 2007 MCS. I was quite anxious about a few issues and he helped me out.
He will be missed here indeed.

 

RIP Dave

 

I never met Dave, but we've had lots of e-dialogue on the MINI forums over the years. I will miss his wit and wisdom. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

About 9 months ago, he posted the following advice in the 1st Gen forum. Great words to live by in his honor:

"You only live once. If you can do it, DO IT."

 

Didn't know Dave. I am fairly new. I enjoyed his posts. He seemed willing to give advice to help and not put others down. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

He was part of our local club. he will definitely be missed.

I am crying as I read this. He helped me many many times with his posts. Thank you for letting us know. My thoughts and prayers to his family. I have often wondered if I would know what happens when someone I only knew through the internest suddenly dropped off the grid. Makes no difference whether I had met him personally, he was a good man and loved the Mini community. god Bless you, Dave.

Dave was a great person to talk to. He was always fun to talk to at our meet ups. My prayers & thoughts are with Deb & Dave's family.

May he happily motor on in the great beyond. RIP Dave. You will be missed.

 

Visiting NAM and not seeing postings by drsimmons will be very odd indeed. May he rest in the Peace of God.

 

Hi everyone.
Dave had a private burial by his family. Deb wants to thank everyone for their warm thoughts and prayers. Dave was privately battleing an illness.

We at Panhandle Mini club are planning a memorial meet and drive for Dave in July. Everyone is welcome to attend. We are based in Pensacola, Florida.

Once the meet is finalized, I will post the details. Thank you again.
