So after you purchased you MINI, How many people have you CONVERTED to buy a MINI???? I am finding it amazing what a small nudge can do!!! Maybe because it its a small car???

 

Do you mean the "Conversion" Factor? Well I had a friend all ready to buy a Countryman, even ordered it, then the following day he cancelled the order :(

 

My best friend and my mom. My mom did MTTS 2010 with me and fell in love with the Countryman and bought one when they came out. My best friend went with me when I had my MFSW retrofitted and he took the "test drive" and bought it the next week.

 

What caused the friend to cancel? That's pretty strange to go through all the trouble of ordering and then canceling.

 

He has a 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5i. (snooze) It has 28,xxx miles so it's like 5 mins away from being out of warranty. His thought was he only had 2 more years payments on it and the MINI would have been 4 years of payments. He thinks he'll be better off in the long run with the Suby, but I beg to differ. In the end, it's his decision.

 

Nobody yet, but spring is fast approaching. I think these cars would be an easy sell, especially as gas/petrol gets to 4.50 or more a gallon. My sister is almost choking on the jealousy though... so I LOVE that!

 

No conversions but plenty of conversations. Well, only one really, at the gas station. I did get some girls yell "NICE CAR!" at me. I end up with more conversations at the gas station about my bike, which are much more annoying as I always have in ear plugs.

 

My father in law saw our 05 and had an 08 in his garage in about a week.

 

I forgot, I have a potential conversion. Good friend of mine actually already liked them but got super excited when I got mine. I let her drive mine and she was extatic over it and loved the car. I don't see her buying one anytime soon for reasons soon to be obvious, however there's a good chance she'll pick one up shortly after graduating medical school! I send her every roadster pic I can find.

 

My wife drove down to AMVIV with me and got converted on that trip! She also found the color she wanted down there- Silk Green- after seeing it on the Hello Kitty car that was at AMVIV 9. Took her about two years to find the one she wanted, but now we're a two MINI family. Don't know if I have converted anybody else yet.

I dont think me having a Mini was able to convince someone else to buy one but a lot of people tell me its a neat car.
