The JCW might be getting a little less attention...

I just picked up a 2005 Lotus Elise yesterday in Georgia. Since 2pm on Sunday, I've driven it 800 miles (plus 200 miles of fun) back to NY. My back feels like it's broken, I can't feel my legs, and I think I've gone deaf. But, I couldn't be happier

The original plan was to sell the JCW and buy an Exige, but I don't think I could ever sell this MINI. We have some sort of weird bond together. Plus, this thing will be supercharged in the next few months and making more power than an Exige anyways!

The Lotus is only going to be driven on the nice days, so the JCW will still be my DD. I couldn't ask for a better garage.

It makes the MINI look like a monster truck. I'm 5'8" and it barely comes up past my waist.

Congrats on the Lotus. I've been lusting after one of those forever, just not the time for it yet, but soon.

Green with envy haha. I am happy for you man - I'll have my Lotus one day too!
And no, you would be hard pressed to find a better garage.

Would love to see some shots of the interior! Enjoy it though, mate. I'd love to get one one day.

Nice, so now you have a front wheel drive go-kart and a rear wheel drive go-kart.

Cool !

That is the next car on my bucket list if I decide to replace the MINI.

I think it's hilarious that the Elise has an emergency trunk release in case a dwarf gets locked inside.

Looks fantastic for a 2005 - looks brand new. Such a shame they have stopped production of the cars in North America. I had a look last week and there was 1 used Lotus in my Province - and it was crazy expensive.

Thanks guys! I haven't been able to drive it since last Tuesday because of all the bad weather we've had.

I'll never understand why cars in Canada cost so much more. If I listed my car for sale across the border it would go for $10-15k more than I bought it for.

Some (crappy) interior pics as requested!
