Ever wonder how many MINI's are in your area?

Like the title says, Im trying to track down how many mini's are in my area. Ive tried searching a couple of ways to no avail. I tried looking for registration information (number of registered mini's for sale). Then I tried looking thew national dealers association. I'm drawing a huge blank. can any one help. I'm located in the Maryland area, specifically Annapolis.

thats a tough one. If you could get someone at the DMV to do a search for registered Minis that might work but not sure if they can do that....

Are there any mini clubs in your area? That's always a good place to start as they will, at least, have a listing of all their members. This might allow you extrapolate an approximate number of cars in your area which, probably, is as close as you'll get.

That information is compiled in every State in detail by the DMV. It is subscribed to by the manufacturer and in turn is available to the dealer. There are a number of commercial sources available for the information but is not cheap. It is detailed by year make and model. Perhaps your local dealer could be of help if they are so inclined.

There are a few local clubs in our neck of the wood.
DCMM (DC Metro MINIs)
C3M (Central Maryland MINI Motorist)

Not sure about total numbers. People with prior posts had the best info so far.

If you have an iPhone you can download the MINI Link app and create a little profile. It is kind of like MINI radar... it shows you on a map where all the MINI drivers are in proximity to you.

If only there was an Android version...I'd be hunting down MINI's just to wave to them! Unfortunately for me, I've moved on from Apple and glad that I have. Can't wait for MINI to catch up to the mobile market!
