Are you happy with your tint job?
For those of you who've had your windows tinted, I'm curious if you're happy with the job, specifically as it pertains to the frit borders of the two rear side and hatch windows. I see a lot of cars with the telltale white border than indicates the film isn't adhering to the frit edge. My tinter told me to come back in two weeks and he'll try to get better edges, but from what little I know about the process, the only way to overcome the white border is to file/sand down the ceramin dots on the glass so the film has a better chance to adhere.
So what's your job look like - dark to the edges or do you have the lighter border and do you just live with it? My job was done by a reputable shop, but my understanding is that some cars have thicker dots than others, even within the same make.
Curious if anyone has a close up photo too. Thanks.

Seeing as I bought my mini from a private seller, I did not get the windows tinted myself; However, the woman who did took excellent care of it. Whoever did do the job must have had no difficulty because it has adhered to the dots on the window.. It has a few here and there that wanted to be a pain, but it is not even noticeable from the outside.
My installer too said come back 2 weeks later and he would press it on the right way, I did it myself because I was lazy and it looks just fine, maybe not to a tint installer 100% but to me it is not the first "wrong" thing I would see.
Thanks for the reply. Did you use anything to help the edges stick to the dots or did you just press the film down? I've heard a few tinters use Elmer's blue school glue (dries clear) to help the edges stick, but I don't know how I'd get it under the edges without peeling the film back and possibly ruining the job.
my tinter did a dot matrix on the edges of these windows so it pretty seamlessly blends in with the existing dots on the window itself. I have to say, I was very impressed with his work. He did a great job on the sunroof as well. Its now tolerable on hot sunny summer days (what I wouldn't give for a day like that today). I Would recommend this guy to anyone in the Chicago-land area. PM me if you need details.
