List of mod/replacement that need alignment

Hi all,

Just trying to come out with a list of mod or replacement which need alignment after done. Below is based on my assumption (I'm not expert on this). Please feel free to add or correction.

1. Aftermarket suspension/coilovers - Yes (need alignment)
2. Lowering spring - Yes
3. Outer ball joint #10 Link - ??
4. Wheel bearing - No
5. Lower arm bush #8 Link - No
6. Innser ball joint #12 Link - ??
7. Drive shalf - ?
8. Steering rack - Yes
9. Steering column - ?
10. Steer spindle #1 Link - ?
11. Tie Rod - Yes

Thank you

*Thanks, updated the list...

Lowering springs, yes--if you need an alignment with coilovers, you need an alignment with lowering springs. If nothing else, to make sure the toe angle stays in spec.

Steering rack, yes. You have to remove the tie rods to replace that.

Mr. Bentley says that any time you loosen the bolts on just about any of the front suspension components that you need an alignment. So that would be "yes" on the ball joints (inner and outer) and the bushing on the A-arm.

I think they might be a little overzealous? Not sure, though--I haven't worked on any MINIs.
