I am so sorry to say - there is no cure- but only pure enjoyment in Modding.
Now get to events and show off all the work- I recommend the Dragon!
Then listen to White Roof radio podcasts so you spend your money on the best mods.
Have a good time and get a second job

The only cure I know of is once the bank account hits ZERO... Are you willing to stand on the corner with a sign " Will work for MINI parts"?

No cure, it's never done. I've only had my car for 18 months and look at all the stuff I've done to it. Not listed on there is the ST Coilovers I bought but haven't installed yet. Now I'm looking at some lighter weight black wheels.

Nope, no cure. And that is a good thing!!! I'm in the same boat, I love this car and enjoy working on it. I'm always looking forward to the next mod.

Sorry to say but it is an incurable virus.
I had parts in the garage for my first Mini before the car was delivered.
I had the car on jack stands the first weekend I had the car. My neighbors think I am crazy (they are correct).

This bug is well known in medical journals I have consulted it is called MOCD aka MINI OBSESIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER. I have had it for 2 years now and have not yet found a cure. The wife says she knowns the cure and she just needs a gas can and a pack of matches.

ME TOO!!!!! Have had my 07 S since mid August. Was stock but you can see my list. Have the Forge BOV kit, just received it today. Probably install it on Monday since tomorrow morning we've got a rally meet in Holt,
Fl. and don't want any issues before then. Anyway, lots of fun but, yes expensive.

In Miami also. I ordered my 2012 MCS vert on 07/18 and took delivery on 09/16. By the time I took delivery I already had a bunch of stuff for Pmini at home. Since then I've bought more things and tinted the windows and put a clear bra on it.

The bug is bad and there is no cure for it.

You guys are great I have the bug too, but don't have your skills as DIY mechanic geniuses, and I'm SO jealous! This just means that I will be broker than you are, faster than you are, because I will have to PAY folks to do my mods PLUS buy the parts! So that means, wait waaay longer....

Porthos, they have a shot for that. LOL.
I think most of us are suffering from MOCD, or as stated somewhere else ..............
I dont suffer from insanity, Im enjoying every minute of it.
