Mine is called "LABUYO" which is the name small hot red peppers in the Philippines

 

It was just a natural fit, David and Goliath, and of course something called mini also being called a goliath makes it funny too. If he ever acts out of line, I go inside and get my slingshot out!!!

 

My first MINI I got when I was still taking Spanish in high school. We read some story called "Jaquemate en dos Jugadas" or "Checkmate in two moves". Since I had the Checkmate package and my nickname in the class was "Jaque", it just seemed to fit.

Spike was a little less original. I go to Drake University and the mascot's name is Spike.

I guess it all comes into my height is a whole 4ft 10 inches.

 

I haven't ever named any of my vehicles, until I got my MINI. I started to refer to it as, "The MINI Pooper", so I guess that's it's name!

My ex's name was Danielle, and my current is Grace. The names just come to me when I sit in the car. It's just how it works. I've never had to search for a name, I just knew it as soon as I sat inside.

 

ok i have no idea what to name my 04 mcs chili red with a carbon fiber roof and almost eveything else black on the exterior. i thought burton, since i like metallica, but that never worked, any idea's? something mean or angry.

 

Wait, you have a carbon roof? Pics or shens. That must have been an expensive modification.

ok so there it is, the roof is actually a vinyl from 3m. works great and looks like the real stuff.

 

if it's the fabric, from 3m it looks like the real stuff, cause it IS the real stuff. It's not encased in resin like a hood or other finished piece is, but it is honest to god CF. Now, it's not going to do anything for weight savings, but it is what it is.

 

A friend named mine, he called it "Cooper Camino", kind of fits so it stuck.

I got the name by trying to find out what to put on my custom license plate. I tried to fit mini in there some where and then it hit me like a bolt of lightning! MINI ON! BOOM! hence forth this mini shall forever shall be called MINION!

Wife named ours Kitty cause it sounds like a British name.

I recently found a (new to me) channel on cable called the Hub that plays reruns of old shows including one I watched when I was growing up, The Wonder Years. The main kid's neighbor and on-and-off girlfriend on the show was Winnie Cooper. Since I've been watching that recently, I jokingly told my girlfriend if she bought a MINI, I'd call it Winnie Cooper.
At the dealership, the sales guy asked if we had a name for it yet. I shook my head no, but she said yes, Winnie.
