I tried to post pictures by linking the ones I uploaded to my gallery, but it said something about needing to be approved by the moderator. Is that because I included pictures in the post? If you want to see my Eclipse Gray / Red JCW, take a look in my gallery.

Thanks for the compliments. I told you it looked fairly similar to your signature graphic with the center stripe. I'll see if I can take some interior shots this weekend. By the way, what's the deal with picture posts needing to be approved by a moderator. Is that because I'm a new user, or is that a regular thing? I've never seen that on any other forum I've been on.

I had it happen to me before, so I've seen it, but I don't know why it comes up. Perhaps there is a NAM moderator that does check random photos to merely keep and eye out for something offensive? It has nothing to do with your account or your photos personally. Maybe the moderator tagged your account so that he or she could see for themselves how incredibly hot your JCW is!!!

Here's an picture of my interior (there are more in my gallery). I really like the black dials. Every time I get in my friend's S, it surprises me to see the white dials.

Thanks!

The interior is probably the major feature that sold me on buying this car off the lot. Even though I love it now, it took a while for the red roof to grow on me. I thought the interior was awesome from the first peek in the window.

Well, I can certainly understand that interior wooing you into that car! The red roof, to me, is like that pop of color, the red tie with a grey suit, that is absolutely classic. But, you already know I'm a fan of your JCW--it's a stunner!

The piano black is really nice - I have it on my current Cooper. Looks even better on the JCW with dark dials. Just be careful, it shows swirl marks after a while.

That Pepper White with the Red Roof really looks great on the JCW. Around here, everyone seems, not that there are all that many JCW's, can't get past the Midnight Black and Red roof. While it looks good, I'm now thinking that the white/silver, or pepper white looks better, or at least as good. Nice car guy.

I shamelessly agree. Suggestion: Ditch the radio remote control looking antenna and replace with a stubby. IMO it will look better and there will be less wind resistance. (:

I love the the Pepper White with the Red Roof, but I get really kind compliments on the red roof on black all the time. Lil Guy is still a head turner!

Grey JCW

Hey looks real nice. It's especially nice to see color combinations other than what my Lil Guy is. The dealer in this town, after seeing mine, they put the invisible bra on, doesn't seem to think there's any other JCW color combination. The gray looks nice, really nice and you optioned it out great too. The wheels are my next purchase, but in black. One recommendation that I'd make is for a turbo heat shield. I got the insulated one, and they do work. Have a great Christmas Season.

[QUOTE=TiggerGTO;3341102]Here's an picture of my interior (there are more in my gallery). I really like the black dials. Every time I get in my friend's S, it surprises me to see the white dials.

I'm the same way when I go into the dealer for something. I see the cream/white gauges and it just doesn't look right. I like about everything that Mini did last year for the interior. Sure, they could have done more on the sets, but they did great. Now, starting in March, they are going to start offering the Recaro Seats. $2750, but if you consider that the lounge seats are $2,000, then add the heat, you're not far off the Recaro price. So, those and NAV are a must for my next JCW in a couple of years.

What's the thoughts on the Coupe you all? I kind of like it, the roadster better, but isn't it kind of late in the 2nd Generation cycle. Next Fall the 3rd Generation hatchbacks will be available. I think that they should have waited for the next generation to introduce the coupe and roadster, but that's just my idea.

I saw a coupe when I went to MSSD. I think they are a bit goofy looking in person. It looks like the rear visibility will be terrible, especially when the rear spoiler comes up. I can see where it would be appealing for some people though. I'm still very happy with my JCW hardtop.

I did this at MOTD this year. Added an extra 17 horsepower. I was *flying* through the Gap on the way home.

Hey TiggerGTO, I had seen them parked, but I'd not seen one on the road, so I wanted to wait to reply until the day I saw one. Well, that day arrived on Sunday! I became a MINI coupe stalker, and followed for a mile or so. I liked it well enough, though I do prefer the hatch. To take the conversation into a bit of a detour, I have seen a few New Beetles, and though I was looking forward to seeing it, and do see the differences, the impression it made just didn't stay with me. I felt that they could have taken it further, which brings me back to the coupe. What I do appreciate about the coupe, no matter where one stands on its styling, is that MINI at least pushed the boundaries--at least they took a chance, and I'd prefer quirky to uninspired any day.
