I hated the dipstick but now have the Cravenspeed one, so that's taken care of. I hate that she is showing 30.9 mpg because of all the city driving lately and I wish I could just get on the freeway and jog that into 31. The fraction is irritating. :-) I hate the look of the stock 15" wheels but will not change to 16" until I wear these nice tires out....Actually, come to think of it, there is nothing I *hate* about Winnie that a little money and time won't fix right up.....!

I, too, hated my dipstick but also have a cravenspeed one on order. I hate that my R53 does not have the trip computer, so I cannot find out what kind of mpg's I'm getting at a glance. And i hate that my one touch windows aren't always one touch.

i hate the little noises it makes while driving, and most they are even harder to pinpoint them.

Agree on the arm rest. Even had mine replaced under warranty because there was no detent on the sliding top. The new one worked marginally better, and still slides open on its own with any elbow movement at all on top of the arm rest. I've even thought about using liquid nails to glue the thing shut permenantly, but alas can't bring myself to sacrafice the 2.5 cubic inches of storage space in the thing. As a $150 option that should have been standard to begin with, it is, without question, my biggest complaint.

Yeah, my armrest is the same way, but I wouldn't want to give it up either. But to add insult to injury, it's a *$250* option now. Of course, maybe they've fixed it so that it actually works, and that's what the extra $100 is for.

My sister's '06 R53 does the same thing. How irritating! Makes me glad I opted for the European arm rest in my '04 R53. It doesn't slide open - instead the lid is on a hinge. Aren't the latest batch of arm rests the same way?

You think 30 is bad? LOL. My previous car, a Dodge, couldn't even crack 17 mpg city driving! My Clubman burns half as much gas as the old Dodge so 30 is still better than 17!

And by the way, I've noticed some people are worried about the materials used in the MINIs. My old Dodge was made with CRUMMY parts. I was always replacing an interior part because they broke so easily that it was aggravating. Even the pop-up wind deflector in the sunroof broke when a tiny piece of debris hit it! Worse, the center console and arm rest came loose after six years because the plastic was so fragile that the bolts holding it down gradually ate THROUGH the plastic! Four cheapo 40-cent washers would have fixed the problem but that's Chrysler for you: cutting more corners than a child with his/her first pair of scissors and a million pieces of paper!! Dodges make MINIs look and feel like a $55,000 BMW 7-series by comparison!

It might be a bit soon to think about replacing your Brake Pads, but it might not be too, check out the Reviews on Ceramic Brake Pads any brand will almost eliminate Brake Dust!!

i hate the small super cramped engine compartment! so many cuts, scrapes, and blood! so much blood! lol. but, that goes for any small car, so it doesnt really count.

i do hate the mysterious squeaks / rattles, but my old car had that too.
dont like having to use "the shocker" to close both windows.
dont like having to un-tilt my sunroof after it auto "closes"... why no auto un-tilt! wtf! lol
hate the arm rest cover. slides too easy, and IMO, is not "forward enough".
hate the plastic lenses on the tach and speedo. mine is scratched. looking into making glass replacements.
hate the air vent that shoots straight up from the dash. wtf is the point of that?! its HOT in florida, i need all the AC in my face i can get!
lastly, i hate the fact that mini made the fender covers out of that crappy black plastic instead of just painting them the color of the car.... so, i guess i also hate fading black plastic!

To be fair, there are a LOT of posts on here that are simply tongue in cheek responses.

I TOTALLY agree Giggles!!

I hate that I had to post this on our PDX MINI FB page...
"Ok all, the embarassing truth is about to be revealed...I backed into Molly with my Husband's Kia Soul!! :-[ That is all!! LOL
They are both at the Body Shop(s) getting all fixed up, SMAUG already had had some not so nice people think he was a soft pillow and had used him to stop. Molly well you know how great of care I take of her, but alas I am only human.
Thank you all for being so concerned, now let the ribbing begin!! "

So my only hate at the moment is that she is not home sleeping peacefully in her own garage tonight and has been away from home since Wednesday PM, I won't be able to give her hugs until early next week!!
