Got her up at 4am and drove her to Sevierville, Tn from Cincinnati. Going to put in my “8” hours of work and take her down to the dragon for some dinner 😉
Cravenspeed Short shifter, Boot delete, and weighted shift ****. Came out pretty clean.
Also a Stage 1 Tune. Transformed the car completely. So much fun to drive now. Power is linear and smooth. Shifting is tight more tactile now.
I finally finished pulling the head! I’m just taking a break between pulling the intake and exhaust valves. After that, I’ll be ordering my valves and cleaning the head before it’s all said and done for today 😅
The car is out for alignment, but wrapped the suspension/soft-bits replacement on my '10 Clubman Justa with replacement of the upper and lower control arms:
It was pretty comical when I put it on the ground - one wheel was way over-camber and the other was way under \---\
I put it back up and got it close enough I didn't feel spooky driving it to the alignment shop.
In-process pix:
I had a bunch of problems with the shocks having bad paint (grease spots that got painted over that would wipe away to bare metal) and short-shipped kits (missing perches, etc.), but eventually got a square set and they feel fantastic.
It took me a while becuase I kept adding things to the list and leaving it for other priorities (haven't really needed it working from home), but looking forward to finally having it on the road.
Installed my angry eyelids and GP3 Style Front Corner Splitters. Much larger than the JCW Pro Front Spoiler Kit and now I feel like I have mutton chops, haha.
And yet I still have so much to go but I like continuing project.
plastic dip green I rode in my buddies car and got some great rolling shots of the mini. I love that you can clearly see the big brake kit! Up at stevens pass to swap who is riding with who. Working on a video shoot I pulled this one image because with the red smoke it’s awesome!
I didn’t realize I would love the car as much as I do! From having it towed home, rebuilding the motor, and fixing it up. I definitely have blood, sweat, and sore knuckles in this car.
