What did you do to your mini today?
Ordered a forge turbo inlet pipe tonight. The oem piece was literally falling apart. I'll never understand why MINI, or any manufacturer for that matter, uses rubber bits when connecting to turbos. When produced in mass quantities, silicone can't be that much more to use. Frustration rant over.
Haha that's true. I have been looking for a reason to buy the forge piece for a while and now I have one. My decision was also made easier when I saw an oem piece wouldn't ship til next Tuesday.
Got new rear pads today because one decided it wanted to fall off yesterday when I was going over a speed bump. Luckily my rotor is not messed up.

EBC. I had only 18k miles on them too. The top edge in the photo broke right off too when my mechanic bent it

That's what I was afraid of. I've got a set of EBC Greens waiting to go on my car (front), but I've been hearing too many horror stories about their pads coming apart to be 100% comfortable with the brand right now.

I had my green EBCs on since last November and I've put 22k miles on them.
Finally had a chance to install the Cooler-Guard, after receiveing it about a month ago.
I wasn't sure about how it looked in the beginning, but it's growing on me now
Now if I only had time to install my BWS coilovers

By "cooler guard" you mean the $1.00 worth of expanded sheet metal under the I/C cover?
Hope you didn't pay more than $20 for it... Thats more than it would cost to make out of aluminum and powder coat.

I paid more than $20, it didn't bother me one bit either. The young lady I bought it from was super nice and very helpful when we had a little hiccup in the order process. She went out of her way to make it right, that alone was worth what I paid.
I have an extra one in Blue for the standard MCS IC, anyone that's is interested and can cover shipping can have it free.
Its in the name... Sometimes...
I just cant see anybody charging 3-4 times material, manufacturing, and finishing costs for a product. Especially one you can go to HD and make yourself in 1/2 hour or so.
Glad you are happy, but you could have saved a lot of money.

I took my MCS to the dealer today to get some minor problems fixed since the factory 4 year or 48,000 mile warranty expires at the end of this month. My third brake light was starting to fall down and the release mechanism on the passenger's seat came "un-hooked" to get access to the rear seats. I also got a new cabin air filter, brake fluid flush, and my maintenance reminders on the tachometer reset all for free.
They told me that I need all new brake rotors, pads and tires (which I already knew and plan on replacing before winter). They actually told me they would do the front pads and rotors for $750 and the rears for $650. Ridiculous! I will definitely be ordering the WMW EBC Brake package here shortly.
As for tires, any suggestions on some nice all season non run flat tires?

WMW has some great deals I've worked with Aaron on several of my mods. But you can get cross drilled and slotted rotors direct from SP performance 877-651-3517 Fronts $142.81 Rears $125.86 talk to Sal they have kits as well. He gave me the kit price on the rotors even though I all ready had my new pads. I paired the rotors with EBC redstuff pads. Love the results! You can check out the rotors at
