I ordered a pair of CravenSpeed Strut Tower Defenders for Ruffian today, which will go on along with some ceramic rear brakes in the next week or two and a fresh oil change.

2013 Justa Want to upgrade to S Gas Cap Chrome - Advise

Hi I just got my mini a couple weeks ago, and although it is "perfect" I am thinking I would start with changing the gas cap to I think they call it the S cap. My only concern is probably the tinting of the outer ring. A little concerned about matching the body paint. Also, is this something you can swap out yourself? So basically this is a how to question.

Changed my cabin filter yesterday (damn plastic framed ones don't really fit right, though!).
Changed oil (Mobil 0W40) and filter (OEM) like I do about every 7,000 miles.
Changed 10,000 mile old paper element back to K&N which was cleaned and oiled a while ago.
Day after tomorrow I'm going to change the front brake pads (Hawk HPS wearing thin now, so moving
to new CoolCarbon S/T pads this time), and putting the Tyrolsport caliper bushings in.
Will do the rears later this year as they still have a little more pad on them than the fronts.

I hand washed my JCW Clubman today - this may not sound like much but its January 10 and I live north of Boston. I think this is a first for me - a January hand wash in my driveway.

I installed a new Forge BOV this afternoon. It has been nasty weather all day long so I have not driven it to check everything. I hope to do that sometime tomorrow. Next, I am having a new WMW turbo exhaust manifold installed. Hope to have that done early next week.

I replaced the hot boost tube on my mini. I had originally ordered the Alta host side boost tube from minidynamics and when I finally got around to opening the box to install it, I noticed a cut on the tube. It looked like a razor knife but I had not had a knife anywhere near the tube. I spent almost $120 for the tube so I decided to try to plead my case with the guy that I ordered it from. To my extreme delight, Scott from minidynamics.com read and replied to my email and even worked with Alta on my behalf to get them to replace the tube. Which they did! I was stunned. In fact, I am so impressed with them that I have ordered an Accessport, Alta boost gauge, port tap, recirc valve, and some other items today. Sounds excessive but they are offer an additional 10% off everything on their site when you use the promo code "newyear13". I'd highly recommend this company if you are tired of higher prices and poor customer service. I'm a happy customer!

I, too, considered washing it but drove to work in the rain instead.

I had a chance to get out this morning and drive Tackleberry with the new Forge BOV. What a wonderful upgrade. Throttle lag is reduced quite noticably .Blowoff occurs quickly, thereby retaining a little more boost than normal. Makes for very smooth accelerated shifting.

Ordered a few cosmetic items from ebay. EZ lip, under hood angry eyes, checker decal for the rear spoiler, and a Mobil1 oil cap

Nope looks like M7's soon to be released side splitters.

Not bad looking for a flat board covered in CF. wonder how manny hundreds of dollars they will charge? Probably quite a few, there looks to be at least a yard of CF used.
