I got the mount specifically for the droid. The arm was too flimsy, the weak point was where it connected to the back of the tach. I even put washers on it to help make it stick, only worked for a few weeks. After dropping some money into my Mini the last month, car funds have been tight. I thought it was a quick $2 solution instead of buying the universal mount for $99.

Also, this way I can run both the AP and my phone at the same time.

I made an Ipod holder that I can reach now.. Turned down a piece of aluminum to fit in the left cup holder and cut a dome on top then polished it. I cut the arm off the worthless Ipod holder my wife bought me and drilled a hole in the aluminum part. The polished metal goes well with the chrome bezels I have. pic..Name: minimods005-1.jpg

Used some rubbing compound to take off some overspray or tree sap I had on my windshield, and also to try to remove a couple of scratches I put on the windshield when I tried removing the overspray with a razor the other day.

With the rubbing compound I managed to get rid of the overspray but the scratches wouldn't come out.

Brought my very pregnant wife home from the hospital! Should have a baby girl here within a week.

Side note: the sport seats in my CMS are currently the only seats she is comfortable in. I'll find her just sitting in my car using the iPad every once in a while

Congrats Fatherof4! I'm also the father of 4, so we have at least 5 things in common!

Does this mean you now have to change your screen name to Fatherof5?

Made checkered style mirrors using vinyl i brought from rvinyl.com...i think they turned out pretty good...match with the wheels. I straightened out the uneven pieces to make them look like OEM covers.

Check out the instructional video i made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ6m0M-kG18

Started the chore of cleaning 5K miles of bug guts and grime off my MINI. This may take 2-3 blasts with a foam cannon and an acre of wet towels. There's even bug entrails on the firewall!

On the up-side, my clothes dry faster in this weather....

It's only 103.6º in SoPho (measured at Ow-my-tookus) at 3:46 PM, and, thankfully, not likely to go up much more. I like it when we don't hit our target temps in the summer....

C ya,
Dutch

Shaved the E, R, and S off the boot. Now it's a "COOP".

Once it cools off a bit (it's 103.6º right now, which is a bit warm even in the shade) I will likely clean the back of the S and stick it on my intercooler cover, to spice things up a bit under the bonnet.

C ya,
Dutch

Hey, GeekGuy, do I detect a spec of dirt under the left headlight? I think you're slipping.

They wouldn't be so BAD if they'd hire people who actually wanted to give their Customers a Little Customer Service!! We won't be going back to our Vancouver, WA Five Guys!!

I myself prefer In N Out but being in the midwest, I have to settle for Five Guys.
